Is the court you chose for the hearing near enough that you can visit in person and camp out there until you get answers to your questions?

We agree - attend as soon as the court opens that day - but you haven't sent your Witness Statement and evidence yet, have you?  To be a witness you must send a WS.

Send it in by email tomorrow if not - see examples by @aphex007 and @Daiapolon2021 and adapt.

    1. Will she be in attendance (she must be!)
    2. You can act as her 'Lay Representative' - a formal role which you need to read up on so you know the parameters. Additionally you will need to respectfully inform the Usher and the Judge of your intention to act as such.
    3. Read, and take with you a copy of, the The Lay Representatives (Rights of Audience) Order 1999.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks a lot everyone we won! Will be submitting court costs aswell.

    Thanks for all the advice!
Yay! The Judge is letting you claim costs too?

When you've calmed down, tell us more. What the Judge said, were you allowed to be a lay rep, what did the other side say, what went wrong for them (Claimant) and what points won it?!

You did brilliantly, especially given you had to turn up blind to court today, not even knowing the time of the hearing, because the court never sent you those Directions and was presumably using the wrong address for you?  Did you get to the bottom of where the Hearing letter went?
