Morning all,
Another beautiful day here. I have made the beds, taken the children to school, picked some blackberries, collected eggs and now need a vague plan of action for the next few hours. There is lots I need to do, little I am inclined to do, but I know I will feel much better if I get out and get on.
Piggers so sorry to hear about the toilet xx
Right am off to tackle another overgrown bush - wish me luck... x10 -
Squeak is on the waiting lists for the 2 nearest schools.. bar the hideous one with a horrendous reputation for bullying and gender and sexuality discrimination, she is too lovely and gentle and kind to be in that situation.
3 beasties flung to school.. Dot wasn't pleased but the other 2 were delighted to be back. These holidays have flown by!!
Squeak is catching up on the writing class she mmissed last night because we were dealing with the bathroom and kitchen and trying to make dinner hygienically.
I am printing off some worksheets to support the classes she has had so far and she has maths and RE learning today.. I need some scrap books for her for our 'topic' work..
I have our bedding to wash which I decided needed changing at 2am.. it was a bit smelly.. not at my side!!
I am listing some more stuff to fling.. the school stuff hasn't been listed yet so I will try to get that done first I think and maybe the outgrown boots and winter coats.
The kitchen needs a good scrub too. and the bathroom..
OH is taking Squeak outside in a bit to plant yesterdays purchases and they can talk botany while I list things.
I need a trot to chemist.. apparently there are prescriptions to collect and I need some cream for DS1 and me. He gets thrush on his skin from the hot sweaty kitchen.. and I have a case elsewhere needs dealing with ASAP!
Cuppa and emails first

Sorry about your leaky loo Piggers. Well done on getting it fixed. The expected rain has ended our hotter than hot weather of the past few days with a very loud *BANG* indeed. Fortunately for the cats and dog none are phased by thunder and lightening any more because of the National Fireworks Championships, which are three ten minute displays very close by two nights running. I could see them all thinking, "Call that frightening? Pah!" It was however, quite spectacularly bright during the lightening overhead. I'm just glad I managed to get all five WM loads dry on the lines by last night, AND it'll save me watering the apple and pear trees which are both laden with fruit despite the fact that I removed every last apple and pear that I could reach. This year I am not making pear chutney because we got such huge stashes of it, so if anyone wants any pears and they happen to be in southwest Devon just let me know.I need to trundle the dog and then clean our bathroom.Better is good enough.10

With the help of my lovely NDN the hedge has been finished off - it's maybe 2-3 feet above the fence now, and neater, and it no longer overhangs my garden. He also chopped some of the 'trimmings' so I could get them in the green bin. I've collected lots but not all. I have also cleaned out the hutch so that's airing. Needed doing as the bunnies were confined to barracks while I was on my jollies.
I'm meeting my friends for lunch shortly, so I have showered. I've done a work job; there is more to do. But it is so hot. HoneyBear, I'm envious...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hello all. Hugs and spoons wherever required.
My day so far - washed and dressed, walked dogs, washed up, did first work shift, short walk with DH, dailies done, hoovered through, watered garden.
Now having lunch then I'll read more of my book before next work shift.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
HB.. have you tried popping an add on local groups like Olio? Maybe they could come hop up a tree as a 'help yourself to free fruit' save it spoiling.. it might be a bit intrusive though, just a thought. I would be there in a flash if it wasn't a 7 hour drive minimum each way! Might be quicker to fly!
Squeak done maths and is outside gardenning with OH learning about compost and weeds and plants and screaming every 3 seconds because there is a bug.. however mini. I may grab a few to examine!
Washing out, machines reloadedCuppa number 3 going down.I have a V!nted sale to pack up before I head to chemist/PO
I may need to pop and let my sisters cats/dogs out.. see if we can manage to not have one die on us this time!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
I cut all of the bush back, the garden looks so much tidier now. Also tidied up the courgette plants, harvested some, collected more eggs, poo picked, dealt with a phone call, made lunch and read my book. We are going to the library after school today so I can get another book then.

Hi, very late in the week for me but was on holiday on Monday and yesterday just sort of disappeared.
Today
WM x 2
HHI basket empty
Dinner cooked ready for later
3 kitchen drawers been through, plenty thrown out or in charity box.
It's too hot to do much. Time for a cup of tea now and empty DW whilst kettle boils

Meem has done some cleaning in the kitchen and vacuumed Moomins room and the landing.. maybe my incessant complaining is paying off!!
I spoke to DS1 about financial contributions.. he said I will have to wait until he is paid but he is earning almost double what OH gets so he can make a contribution!
Squeak got her confidence building class at the moment so is hiding in the other room with the taplop.
