Get well vibes for all poorly hubbies and their flyladies. Hope recovery goes well after his op Nmm and that Mr Iona starts to improve soon!
Started my day early, again... I've already emptied the DW, fed the cats and dogs, mopped the floor in the lounge after a little accident by one of the puppies, made a cuppa and checked my emails.
Today I'm on the tea stand at the footie match, so I made chocolate cupcakes and granola bars to sell. Just need to ice the cakes, but will do that a bit later.
How does my kitchen look like a war zone, when I spent so long sorting it yesterday? Boys! Men! Idiots, that's why! Anyway, having my cuppa whilst browsing the web for nice things...9 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
So far I have hoovered through, S&sd the bathroom, done some dailies and walked the dogs. I need to finish dailies, change sofa covers ready for visitors later and cut the grass back and front.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all
hope everyone is well and special thoughts for Iona and nmm hope you are both ok and that your respective hubbies are doing well.
2 lots of washing through, so shall get the line wiped and that pegged out shortly. If today is dry I might run the lawnmower over again as, now it's been cut it will cut back better. And it might pick up the loose clippings.

Morning all,
Hugs and thoughts with Iona, nmm and Kaz and their other halves x
I took up my regular seat in the WAC last night - am thinking of having a plaque put on it as a frequent user. I can’t actually remember the last night that I wasn’t in there.
First load in the wm. 2nd load queuing. It will dry outside as we haven’t seen any rain here for weeks now. It has rained all around us but our village seems to be making a bid for desert status.2nd cuppa brewing. Yesterday’s jam labelled and needs rehoming. DH has been “helpful” - the dining room table is covered with plums that he has sorted out. Guess I had better do something with those then. Grrrrr.10 -
Morning,
Loo cleaned and bathroom tidied (trying to make this a daily habit now bathroom is tidy)
Bed made, clothes picked up
WM on
Kitchen all but one surface cleared and wiped,
DW on
Been to the tip with OH, a trailer full of ,assorted rubbish, one box for CS (our tip is great in that you put all CS stuff in a big room with shelves and once a week the local charities come and collect what they want or need. A big bag of textiles, again they take anything clean and recycle where best. The tip itself is kept very clean and tidy and easy to drive round. I don't understand why I have a house full of cr** when I have such a good facility 15 minutes from home?
But feeling motivated so CS box has a few more bits in it and I've started filling the next bag of clothes. Why when I bought a new ski jacket 8 years ago did I not pass the old on? Hoping I will learn from my mistakes. My stepmother is a minimalist and brings me stuff she wants rid of. I have been looking at this stuff and asking would I buy it, if the ansxer is no then it goes in the CS box. Since Dad passed away and she moved back to the UK she doesn't do it so often so hoping to make progress.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone.7 -
Fay.. I may have tittered a bit over DH's plums on the table.. There are lots of lovely pears on the trees at school.
Hugs and healing vibes for NMM, Iona and Kaz families.. I hope everyone is soon on the mend and recovering well.
My mother is at the airport about to fly back from Lanzarote and developed shingles, after the 4 hour flight she has a 2 hour drive home from the airport.. My sister is very worried about her, the other is too self obsessed to give 2 hoots about anyone but her own self... but my mother is already refusing to see the dr or take antivirals.. it feels like she wants to get something which kills her.. it feels like that is all she has been bothered about for the last 11 years since her youngest brother died, she was bad enough after my nanna died in 2004 but it is almost suicide now.. killing yourself by refusing medical care, which is exactly what she accused my nanna of. It is !!!!!!! selfish.
Guess what I'm doing tomorrow!
Today however..
OH off to work.. I need to sort pack ups and uniforms for tomorrow.
I need to sort Squeaks work for tomorrow and get her set up on her Antarctica project..Wash swimming stuff I didn't get time to do yesterdayhang out wet stuff.OH scooped a couple of litter trays and loaded DW before he went to work.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
Thanks folks for all the thoughts, they mean a lot to me, generally things are ok here, OH still has the tingles, his chemo has been cut by about 25% currently, so he seems better in himself, the cat is surprisingly happy, the last 3 walks we have been out on he has come as well trotting along beside us, luckily the road here is very quite, he takes his pain relief on chicken or ham, eating, grooming, etc well, but his eye is weeping, it is a case how long is it fair to leave the eye weeping and him on pain relief.Other stuffPulled out dead mares tailPulled out weeds from wild flower gardenPicked 8 cucumbers from garden, and put 6 of them on a tub with a sign ~ free help yourself out on the front gate post.Sorted out the kitchenBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hi all
Just back from a lovely weekend camping, havent read through but love to those who need it, especially if you have poorly family members.
I am full of cold and feeling a bit rubbish to be honest, DH and DS have had it so I know it's just a cold.
A few bits and pieces to bring in out of the car, clean washing to take off the airer and put away, and I probably should order a supermarket delivery.10 -

I always rely on how they are in their life.. if they are happy and eating and getting some joy from life then it's all ok.. if they stop eating or enjoying life we let them go. my beautiful Noel had a tumour somewhere or other, they couldn't find it but the vet said he could do the deed there and then and I said no.. right at that moment he was watching a bird out of the window and purring loudly and being pleased at all the fuss he was receiving. I got up one day a few weeks later and he was sad, he was flopped in the washbasket and never lifted his head when I fussed him.. it was time.. trust your instincts, you will now when it is time and when he has fought his bravest battle.
Moomin gone to her BF's, girls still at DiL's..
I've fed the cats and the WM and otherwise done nothing..
If I was graded on my adulting I would get an F.. I am very bad at it.
