Me again. Dailies done and I've walked miles with a group of friends. Showed my face briefly at a community event. Second and final wash load about to go on line. Apart from cooking tea tonight I'm not doing anything else. It's now read a book or watch telly afternoon.
Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Both Lodger No 2 and I have done a lateral flow (both negative) and a PCR test at a walk in centre - results awaited within 24 - 48 hours. Belovéd, who has less contact with The Unclean One, has skipped the PCR and just done a negative lateral flow test, and gone to play tennis. He has a busy weekend with both playing and watching sport, plus all three of us are singing the competition-winning sea shanty in a local pub tomorrow evening, so we wanted to be absolutely as sure as we can be that we're not contaminated before doing so. Results are expected within 24 - 48 hours.Considerable pressure had to be exerted on The Unclean One by a sweary me when my patience snapped, her mother, Lodger No 2 and Hugh to get her to do a PCR test at the walk in centre 5 minutes away from us and she's relented and gone and had it done. I should flippin' (sic) well think so.From here on in, anyone who hasn't had both jabs does not set foot in this house until this whole debacle is over. I've been as accommodating as I could possibly be all the way through but it's just not worth the risk if anyone can be that selfish. She's only had one jab, and that was only two weeks before she moved in.Better is good enough.10

HB and Iona hugs, HB I won't let anyone in this house what so ever, I bent the rules for OH's DS and DD last weekend they have both had 2 jabs, anyone else stays outside in the garden or at the front door. Not too sure what I have done so far today, but I have only just sat down, made crumble, half seems to have already eaten itself.!IronedCuddled the cat who is being a bit clingy, understandable.Cleared up the mouse next door's cat kindly brought me on the patioAdmin stuffHugs xBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Sorry ladies, will catch up later just wanted to let you know my OH had his surgery yesterday and he's currently on a ward recovering, he's in a lot of pain and feels sick that's to be expected, he might be home Wed or Thu. Doctors think it was a tumor on his spleen we get the results in 2-3 weeks.
Flying wise i'm currently decluttering and cleaning like crazy ready for the boat move when OH is well enough.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:10 -
nmm, I'm so glad to hear that your OH has had his surgery. Sending him all good wishes for a speedy recovery. You will be glad to get him home asap xx
My DH has been moved from A&E to the Acute Medical Unit. It's impossible to get a mobile signal on the ward without hanging out of the window - and they won't let him do that! - but he borrowed the ward phone to ring me this afternoon. It sounds as if it'll be a while before he comes home, as he's still very breathless and his heart is playing syncopated rhythms, but things can change very quickly. Our hospital is allowing one nominated visitor for 45 minutes, and I have managed to book a slot to go and see him tomorrow evening.
I ran out of steam this afternoon but have had a few zzz and am feeling a bit more energised now. Having rung DSiL and various other people with messages from/about DH, and brought the dry washing in off the line, I am going to disturb Rosie from her slumbers and take her out for her walk in the sunshine.10 -
Ionafan, get well soon wishes to your OH too, so pleased you're able to visit him, luckily mine is in his own room and a has mobile signal. Enjoy the sunshineCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:10

More *healing vibes* for Mr Ionafan and Mr Nmm.Thanks for the comments on my insistance that the lodger with the virus stays well out of our way while she's still testing positive. I've come across people before who think that because they don't like the rules they shouldn't have to stick to them. She has been disabused of that notion, but it's only a matter of time before she has tries again because she's done that several times she she arrived. My House My Rules. End of.What with all that excitement today not a lot has been done to make the place look better and be a bit cleaner. It's exhausting arguing with someone on and off all day.Better is good enough.10

Iona and nmm GWS vibes for your hospitalisees xxDinner doneWashing up doneDW is on.Dizzy~~ around here in the rural parts, they don't have gas, most also use oil, but they buy it in bulk for village and get a bulk discount on the price, the driver then delivered to each person x amount of oil, they arrange it locally amongst themselves, would something like that work in your area.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
