Tax credits renewal & 16 year old

I'm also on a FB group re benefits etc and yesterday/this morning it's packed full of people worried and panicked about this issue.
I'm £350 down this month and will be over £580 down as of October.
But, I have read that apparently it readjusts again within the next week, and the missing money is then spread out across the remaining payments.
Not helpful tho when you have bills to pay etc

Your current award notice does not reflect this. The system will recalculate your award later this week or early next week to account for these changes. I cannot tell you what your new payments will be but I would advise you to look online or on the app after 7 September to see your new payment schedule for the remainder of your award. Your current payments are not accurate.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.1 -
Mine also has been reduced significantly, to the point I don’t know what I’m going to do to cover my bills. I’d notified them in June that my Daughter was continuing in full time education, but when I got my notice she wasn’t on and payments had gone down. I again notified them of her intent to stay on in education. Today I’ve looked at the online account and the payments are exactly the same as the previous awards notice.Supporting the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust0

Mine did change today but now when I look at my tax credits I just see this as well as my and my daughters name :
Your renewal for 2021 Information
Your claim will be automatically renewed.
And that's it, nothing about payment dates or anything, bit concerned won't receive anything tomorrow.
I know the lady on the phone yesterday said missing payments will be backdated but doesn't really help me as don't even know what my payment schedule is0 -
I think it's the worry it causes and how it's really unnecessary. Just keep it the same and of your child is leaving education etc then it's on you to notify them. 🤷🏻♀️0

My tax credits were significantly less this week I notified them ages ago ds was staying in education and my account was stuck on the we are assessing your claim with no payments viewable.
Checked today and its saying we have finished assessing your claim and now shows future payments but but it looks like my payments have been adjusted as if he is no longer eligible as they are all the same as this weeks payment. This week was tough enough financially I'm going to really struggle if they don't go back upthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Didn't get paid this morning and still nothing showing online with any payment schedule etc
Just called child benefit and thats all ok, in payment until 2023.
God knows what CTC are doing then. Hopefully will be sorted.0 -

I know a few people that have had issues this time, I always find the webchat easier to get through than by phone if you wanted to contact them. The information Child benefit have isn't always the same information tax credits have.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
