What's the Worst that your Cat's Done?

My cat ate chunks of frozen bread rolls which we'd got out to defrost for lunch. Then threw up on the breadboard.4

Our eldest has just thrown up on the new grey carpet and stained it in an obvious place!!
May you find your sister soon Helli.

I remember when I was a kid the family cat came home with what was clearly someone's pet rabbit. That kinda sucked.
A witty saying proves nothing1 -
I was just on the phone today and heard a bit of a clatter and thought the cat had knocked over a pile of books I had left on a low coffee table but no - he has actually managed to pull the curtain rail down. I guess he tried to climb the curtain (he's not a tiny kitten by the way but 2 years old) and has pulled the screws (and rawl plugs) out of the wall on one side.2

We have brothers, Chilli and Pepper, about 14 months old. They've destroyed curtains by climbing them, scratched a leather sofa and they found a loose thread in the edge of the rug that has turned into a loose edge on the rug. We locked the cat flap to keep them in on Bonfire night, with the TV and radio on for them as we were out, but they actually broke the cat flap trying to get out! We had to buy a new door for it.
But I love them and expect some damage and mischief as they grow up.
I am, however, dreading our first Christmas with them!
Edit: old picture. Butter wouldn't melt.
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.4 -
Watch out for the Christmas tree then. Our second eldest (born January) destroyed our Christmas Tree in 3 days for her first Christmas (we only have one now because we were kitchen shopping Christmas Eve and picked up a reduced one) by climbing up it repeatedly. Also don't hang chocolates on it either (she ate and threw up said chocolate) or baubles, (she broke several which my wife ended up digging splinters out my foot), actually just hide under your duvet to new year!.Her brother (born November) opened his eyes under a Christmas tree and has had none of the same fascination as his sister. It will be interesting this year as our youngest (maine coon) has become quite cheeky and may also start tree climbing...May you find your sister soon Helli.

We have large light up baubles that are joined together with the wire, plus tinsel. No other decorations. They can bat them around, make everything look messy, but at least there's no chance of broken glass when they inevitably get in the tree.5

We've just bought one of these. It's currently in the conservatory, in the hope that hoolikitten gets used to it/ignores it before I put the glittery shiny things on it!
I've had to rub lemon juice onto the bottom of the pole to deter her from chewing/climbing it, and she's obviously working out her chances of jumping on to the tree from the coffee table...Will let you know how we get on !
