Found a dead mouse in the washing machine. Cats must have brought it in from the garden and dumped it in the basket.
That's a surprise I wouldn't want. They must have wanted to give it a bath o:)
Well we live near a forest so and have 2 young cats so they often brings things in. Sometimes they're still alive but do find dead things.
    Come on you Irons

My oh took one of our male cats to get neutered and he also picked him up from the vets, a few hours after getting home our well behaved cat walked over to one of my oh’s shoes and peed in it 😂😂😂, oh wasn’t impressed and I couldn’t move for laughing.

Waylaid, that is the saddest and loveliest thing I've read.
When our eldest cat lost her sister (they were staying with my in-laws as my wife was away with work), when she returned home she frantically tore through the flat searching for her sister and cried for days when she couldn't find her (before my time).
May you find your sister soon Helli.
    Sleep well.

We had a cat years ago, when I was a child, who came to us as a tiny ball of fluff who the vet gave a 50/50 chance of surviving the week (His mother was a rescue who died, so the kittens were not really old enough to leave home) He grew up to be a big, bold boy - he was a massive softie with humans (he allowed my sister and her little friends to dress him up in dolls clothes, for example) and a holy terror to other cats, and dogs.

He broke into our neighbours house when we were on holiday - we'd arranged for him to be fed, but apparently he got lonely, so he levered open their bathroom window and let himself in to snooze on their beds. (they actually rather liked him, they were an elderly couple who had decided not to get any more pets due to their own ages, and enjoyed having a cat they were not responsible for)

One Christmas we had a turkey which was too big for the fridge, so had been stored, we through securely, on ice packs in one of our sheds. He managed to get in and ate a large chunk of one leg before we discovered it. (It was far too late to get another turkey, so my dad cut off all the parts he might have licked or bitten, and then the rest of the bird was roasted anyway.

He also taught himself to catch fish. We hard from several neighbours who had fish ponds that they thought there must be a heron in the village, as they were losing fish, although they hadn't actually seen one. A day or two later we spotted the cat strolling across our lawn with a a large goldfish, still flapping, in his mouth. So we have to assume that the 'heron' was the 4-legged ginger variety...

He was very popular with our farmer neighbours as he was an excellent hunter and used to visit at last 3 local farmyards to go ratting.

Years back I was having a slack summer recovering from surgery and was asked to look after a friend's house and cat while she was away.  Perfect!  It was a lovely place not far from a lake.

The cat was not happy however about the arrangement and was mostly absent.  But every night went down to the beach and brought back a dead fish that was always left somewhere between between the bedroom and bathroom.  I soon learned to both put on the lights and my glasses if I needed the loo at 2 am after treading on the rotting fish with my bare feet.

I'm attempting my tax return which is driving me bonkers; my youngest cat was helping with my stress levels. No, he wasn't playing with my scattered papers but patting him helped. I need a drink now as he's had enough of financial matters so I'm on my own. He went out to have a fight with the neighbour's cat.
