Key changes from previous "Cash Register" promotion
1) Open for entries from 6am 31/08
2) First comp runs for a week until 3pm on Monday 06/09, and is then daily
3) Just one online entry per comp
4) If the entrant answers their phone before the end of the first ring, they will win the Prize. If they do not answer before the end of first ring, the amount that the entrant can win will be reduced. After the second ring, the amount the entrant can win will reduce further and so on until the end of the fifth ring. If the entrant does not answer before the end of the fifth ring, they will forfeit their chance to play and no other entrant will be called. The Prize will reduce by £10,000 after each ring.

I think they should now be covered by proper legislation now the free entry route is being skewed so it is 20 times less likely to win through it.2

I just wonder if and when the Northern Irish stations will limit their online entries to 1, as Cash Call you can still enter 4 times online.

Hi, I have just seen the notification of your new competition: Cash Countdown.
In the t&c’s I noticed this:
4) If the entrant answers their phone before the end of the first ring, they will win the Prize.
If they do not answer before the end of first ring, the amount that the entrant can win will be reduced.
After the second ring, the amount the entrant can win will reduce further and so on until the end of the fifth ring.
If the entrant does not answer before the end of the fifth ring, they will forfeit their chance to play and no other entrant will be called.
The Prize will reduce by £10,000 after each ring.
Being curious I rang my partners phone which was alongside me, my phone gave me 3 ‘ring, ring’ sounds before her handset started to ring.
If this is indicative of most phones, then surely it is impossible for anyone to win the jackpot.
I would welcome your views on this.
Best wishes.
We'll see if they can be a**ed to answer.
Good luck all.

Yeah I think they have taken a legal risk with this idea of basing the prize amount on the "rings".2
