can't people just try again on 2nd Sept before posting here first?
Because Skipton clearly have a fault in their system and by posting here the helpful Skipton representative who is monitoring this forum can gather the evidence and use it to skewer their IT colleagues?

My SO to Skipton was scheduled for September 1 and it duly shows on my Santander 123 as an outgoing payment on September 1. On my Skipton account, it shows as a deposit made on August 31. As of yet, they haven't rejected it as a duplicate (first deposit made August 17) but they probably will. Looks like an issue with their systems, in that they think it's still August 31 until they come to work on September 1.........

Hi there, I do apologise for the delayed response. There isn't an issue we are aware of in terms of the date the payment is shown, this should not cause any issues however if this is still showing as the 31/08 on your account please could you contact us via our social media platforms if possible. We would just need confirmation of your name and postcode via Facebook, or Twitter message and we can take a look for you.

I transferred in my second monthly payment for September (after first in August) from another Skipton account with no issues.

So not sure why there was issues with the OP's payment.

As the terms make clear you can pay in up to £250 per calendar month (i.e. 1-30 Sept, 1-31 October) via one or multiple payments and if you don't pay in the full £250 allowed you can carry forward the unused balance (e.g. pay £150 in September and then £350 in October).
    • You can save up to £250 per calendar month. Monthly allowances not utilised can be rolled over to future months, up to a maximum of £3,000 over the 12 month term.

I think you're doing it too early in the morning. Perhaps Skipton's computers only work 9-5?

I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Yep, I've seen that when I've done monthly deposits in the early morning of the first. Needs to be the next morning before Skippy's computers accept that's it actually a new month.

I thought the threads automatically locked themselves after several years of no posts?

I wonder if I will have fun in August trying to utilise the carry forward of the previous months’ allowance (permitted by the terms) when Monmouthshire Exclusive matures.

'Prinky' has (quite rightly) been vilified and outcasted from the board, so I hope the same happens to this abomination 😁
