Dressing room/ Guest bedroom

  • If the kids have got big enough rooms for double beds then surely that's the solution.  One of the kids gives up their room ( they can rotate) and bunks in with the other.  Then you have a dressing room!
  • Let me tell you what the future may hold for all of you....... We have 6 bedrooms (or 5 bedrooms & a study). We had 3 children so originally we had 4 bedrooms in use, a guest bedroom and a study.

Now the children have grown up and moved out we still have the house but it's use has changed. We now have main bedroom, guest bedroom, gym, husbands study, wife's study, everything else room. There are wardrobes in 4 of the rooms all of them full of our stuff (stuff always expands to fill the space available). But we still don't have enough space.......so we bought a very large summer house which we are gradually filling up.

My take on all this is .....you can never have enough space.

I may regret asking this but do you have a link for a single day bed that can be converted to a king size bed?

Funnily enough, we are converting a smallish storage into an alcove so my OH can use the area as a dresser thingy.
If you type ‘single bed trundle’ into Google (other search engines are available) or ‘day bed guest bed’ hundreds of links appear. IKEA has several.

Thread had been dormant for 2 years. I’m sure the OP has got her desired dressing room by now.
