I  was driving a small firms combi van   right behind a lorry. As we approached some lights   he was about 30 yard in front  on the right going straight  i was on the left as i was turning left after the lights.  The lights had turned red just after the lorry had passed   but the lights on the right were obscured by the lorry  but the ones on the left were visible  however  the lights are completely burried by an overgrown tree,s foliage and it is impossible to see. So i didnt see the red light on the right until i was through  .  There is a black box on top  and im certain i went through on red     .  Will.i have any case in defence to say my vision was blocked and that the light on my side   was totally obscured. 8 have 5aken .photos and a video to show the light obscured.   Any advice
No. You can’t blame a lorry for the fact you chose to pass through traffic lights without knowing their current phase.

You said the green light was  the only visible one.

Then surely, if the green light was not  lit then presumably there was an amber or red light.

Honestly some people on here would find Mother Theresa guilty (actually she may have been). The police and courts in the real world seem more forgiving and human.

There you go OP Dr Crypto thinks it’s fine to nail through lights you can’t see and they will make sure the police and courts will forgive you.

Yes indeed I rather think they would given the light was obscured.

As I’ve said many posters here probably thought the teacher’s pet was too rebellious.

Umm, what about that line across the road surface? The one that's clearly visible in the pic?

The RH lights are also clearly visible as you leave the mini roundabout 50m up the road. Where it's single-lane...

No, I just prefer not to share the roads with people who can't look any further than the back bumper of the vehicle in front.
