County court next month after 1 year later

So I received a letter from Gladstone Solicitors stating to the court that they are not going to attend court and want the case heard in their absence. It's been over a year since I filed my first defence and to be honest forgot a lot of the info that I had studied for weeks on end. I received a letter back in march this year stating it would be heard at my designated court but now a virtual appearance only. I do not want a virtual appearance since I have extreme hearing loss and lip read a lot of the time in when speaking to people. I also don't have the relevant IT equipment required for virtual appearance.

The court date is on the 24th of Sept how do I request an attendance in person?

Do I build my case based on my original defence?

In addition the evidence I am now in receipt of from Gladstones which was sent to county court is fraudulent for which I have the proof, can I add this to my case now?

What needs to be done and by when as I don't want to miss any deadlines?

You need to email the court urgently to explain your hearing difficulty and ask for the hearing to be changed.

You need to do a WS like the example by @jrhys plus add the judgment from Recorder Cohen QC as per the thread I started in May.  See my discussions under my profile.

How did you respond to that 'letter back in March'?
Did that letter give you the option to object if you didn't feel a remote hearing was appropriate?

If you didn't object, then you will have been deemed to have accepted the video hearing.

My life was upside down then so I didn't really take a lot in and it's only now after receiving this letter from GS that I remembered its still ongoing.

My ticket was issued in 2019 so do I full into the data protection breach with the DVLA as there's so much info there that I wouldn't know how to incorporate that into my defence

On the day of the court will they have my original defence to read or do I need to provide another copy?

I doubt that you can prove a Data protection breach in your own case to the judge , so no , not to defend your case !!

Stick to the jrhys example plus recorder Cohen addition

All we can say is that they should do , but no harm in taking a couple of copies with you , just in case

Thank you Redx but I cant seem to find a witness statement by jrhys. I would have used by original post but it has been closed down as its been so long so its now hard for me to detail what's already gone on.

My case is based on me stopping to alight my now 6 year old boy into a property due to allocated bay being blocked by another vehicle. I have emails from the land / building owners to remove the PCN but was ignored by PCM. The signs they submitted into evidence contradict there own evidence taken at the a time of the alleged contravention. I am also in receipt of 2 different contracts for the exact same date by 2 different people between the managing agent and PCM.

Does my witness statement have to follow the same order as my defence? Do I repeat the same information?
