First day of my month. Money shuffle done, 6 month water bill paid and monies got from atm and put into envelopes. I have done a list from my pantry, but I won't be doing the freezer as its mainly my winter veg from the allotment. I still have a lot in my cupboards so meals will be loosely based on cupboard and lottie stuff, haven't done the meal plan yet as theirs some stuff in the fridge to eat first.

Thank you for our shiny new thread, @elsiepac; I'll aim for £550 again, please! It's a 4-weekend month for us, but with several unknowns; probable visits from two sets of visitors to cater for, DD1's BF at weekends, and the odd meal shared with DS2 & family too.

Another nsd for me, I still have food in so want to eat all the fresh food before I buy any more, and hopefully the allotment will keep supplying me with veggies. I have very little space in my freezer and I've made enough pickles, relish and chutney for me and future pressies, so I need to eat all the fresh veggies fresh!

I am going to go in again with a £250 budget for now. I am not sure if I will keep the date and budget as it is; as I am starting a new job soon, and the pay is fortnightly.
Also, my DD2 is off to uni; but depending on her current job, it if she will be here half the time as well as her uni accommodation. This obviously impacts on my total too as she will be sleeping here, and eating here. No doubt I will get a small contribution off her towards that.
My money changes next month, and I will be down by about £300. So I am going to have to see how it goes. This is due to my daughter now being an adult and losing child payments. I am hoping it's not a massive shock to the system.
*Edited to add* I forgot to say I have included a takeaway, and a purchase of Nakd bars from Amaz*n that were on offer. The last time I had a takeaway was five months ago, but I included it this time as its food nonetheless.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £76.30/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Hi and thanks for sorting the thread @elsiepac.
Could you put me down for £350 again please for the calendar month. I'm going to start getting a home delivery again as it's taking me too much time going to the supermarket and I'm likely to be starting back to work imminently (need to find one first - just completing my degree). I'm planning on a weekly batch cooking day and doubling up when I can to make the week days a bit easier with 3 boys and lots of clubs means our time is limited already.
Haven't had much luck with Oli0 recently so will keep an eye out and hope that it picks up over the next few months.
Going to focus my efforts on using up the dessert storecupboard items in September, as I know we've got rice pudding jelly and caramel/pastry base (for banoffee pie) as well as some cookie mix, sponge mix and some boxed cake mixes too. 4Grocery Challenge 2024
