    Goldfinches- the pump can be a future investment as I bet you will need one sometime in the future.

    Grandma sitting today, little dgs and then dgd after I have picked her up from school.it's beautiful outside and very warm so dgs and I have been doing a bit of water play!! Oh joy, but at least he enjoyed it and I didn't get too wet lol!

    Nothing spent, had a free coffee from the N shop and a good walk and sit in the park whilst little one went to sleep, better nappy change etc before I go off to school.

    I managed to have a NSD today by being very firm with myself about wanting to save my cash for walking around our annual fair this evening. It was so hot that I didn't fancy any candy floss or doughnuts or any of the other treats at all, instead I bought an ice cream on the way home but that will come out of my treat pot so all okay.

    ETA: forgot to say thanks to those who commiserated about the bicycle pump. My mother used to say "go and look again with your eyes open" when we said we couldn't find something or other; it's very annoying that all these years later she's still right!

    "She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

    @joedenise ah thanks, I think Natco is OK… I’ll have a look!
  • Hi all, grocery spends now stand at £118.20/£350 with a delivery coming from Mr T tomorrow. Fridge is very full so need to do some cooking over the next few days and write my meal plan. Planning on making sweet potato & feta tortilla, cauliflower cheese, and a butternut squash and chickpea curry. Have ordered a pork shoulder joint, so that will be slow cooked and shredded for pulled pork.

    A few spends since last posting.  Balance now stands at £193.57 left for rest of the month. Spent a bit more than I would have hoped after the first week but still doable.  I'm not certain I was getting anywhere near the £250 a month in the last few months so if I can get somewhere near it this month I will be happy.
  • Hi

    On Monday 6 Sept at Mr T's I spent £7.00 which makes my total £11.27/£85.
    There is a Mr T's just down the road from where I do my voluntary work on a Monday, so it's very tempting to shop there.
