David Lloyd is the one that is near me - it is on the expensive side but I had been paying for weekly classes in the area where as I have it all under one membership with DL. Deffo a luxury though just have to watch that I keep it cost effective, I have been having lots of shower there too, save on my water

    Hello Wannabes!

Not much to update on, I have had a stonking cold thing so after a good first week back at the gym getting all the classes in I could fit I have not been at all this week :(

Hoping I will be better by the weekend and will squeeze some stretch classes in as an ease back in to it

Not much updates financially really ... at least not spending too much as I am at home not doing anything :disappointed:

    Be back soon

Well done on progress so far. Early debt diaries often feel like playing snakes and ladders but you'll get there. You have the right attitude...

Wow! Really inspired! Signed up a little while ago and haven't really looked at it properly until the £9/£10,000 debt I've always had loitering in the background is suddenly closer to £20,000...

Needs to sort this out now lads!! (EEK!)

Oh and PS - My husband thinks I've (only) got about £2/3k on a credit card (DOUBLE EEK!)
    November 2023

I'm always in it, it's only the depth that varies....

    Current debt: £10,806.75
Debt free date April 2025 (though expecting this to come forward)

Wow its been a long time since I updated here, things have moved/changed - I am not quite debt free but much closer now although a few I had got down are now back.

Here again to try and keep my accountability - There is no reason why I should not be able to clear the small outstanding debts in a few months.

My new target is debt free before Xmas!

Just need to update the figures in my signature .... off I pop.

I've been there too hiding the extent of it, sometimes its better to fess up so to speak but to be honest I managed most of mine alone mainly as I earn the most money and there would not be much in the way my partner could do to support. I am in control of the whole household budget now so I just tell him what is budgeted for what etc. It works for us.

I have recently started cash stuffing with my monthly spends after all the core bills have gone out my bank. I am finding its really helping with not overspending or unplanned online purchases

I agree cash envelopes do keep you focused. Its much better than relying on a card as you can easily go over budget bur not think too much about it. I'm finding I have at least  £10 a week spare (highest has been £30) which I send to wherever it needs to go Saving fund wise!

    Hey Wannabes!!

Few things I did this week, stock take of the cupboards, freezer etc - planned meals to use up the stock before buying more!
Applied for a new current account for the £200 bonus that is currently on the MSE homepage :) so should get that little bonus early November which will all help.

Left over cottage pie for lunch now! :)

Nearly a no spend day but I have taekwondo tonight.

    Have a good day peeps
