So sorry to hear about your Mum @shell16
Must be so hard for you and your family to come to terms with. Doesn't help that you have to travel so far to see her either
My heart goes out to you.
On a positive note, well done for hitting your EF goal! How exciting knowing you only have one more loan payment and then all that free money is available to throw elsewhere?!?! EEK! xDebt Remaining: £8,781.53

Morning
Thankyou for your kind words @EssexHebridean, @LittleMissDetermined, @Keedie and @Squirrelz92. Its been really hard seeing mum at the moment not getting any easier either.
Currently on with clearing mum (and Dads) home, feel terrible about discarding what mum and dad have bought throughout their lives but I literally cannot hold onto everything
I feel my budget is just going south at the moment still running about alot and sorting things too financially as Power of Attorney. I know it will get easier but at this present time its so very hard.
Not many PADS made recently, I do have a PAD pot which Im not attacking too much at the moment as Im filling car with fuel quite regularly. Some cash still left in Grocery but I do need to do some shopping so not sure what will be left today. Hopefully anything left will be sent to my saving challenges, speaking of which I have asked to subscribe to the SPC. Seeing @LittleMissDetermined total has totally inspired me, plus I see I can add the penny challenge to the final totals so I can continue with that and count towards SPC.
I have my regular DD for Lloyds and Virgin due next week and once they go out I will be around £4038, so would love to see me dip into the £3k figure before I get paid again on 18th November which I would say is doable. Prolific is sending plenty of surveys but just not had the time to complete manyI currently have £3.78 cleared and £4.85 pending. As soon as I can cash out I will make a further PAD.
Thats about all for now. Will update when I can

Such a difficult and emotional position to be in @shell16 but just try and do it at your own pace, hopefully you don't have to rush anything. Remember to be kind to yourself.
The sealed pot challenge is a good one, I keep a track of my total but most just leave it as a surprise. I'm sure the thread will keep you motivated. You'll definitely reach the £3k's soon, I'm a few grand behind you but I'm also chasing a barrier down this monthWe have got this!
Keep your chin up lovely,

A quick update, managed a £5.84 Prolific cashout and sent with a further 10p (£5.94) to Lloyds CC. This has now tidied up the balance on Lloyds CC.
Left Prolific with £4.20 Pending, need to do some more so I can cashout again (after 24 hours).
Thanks

I'm sorry that you're going through such a tough time @shell16 😢. Clearing out the treasured possessions that represents the life that some has lived or shared with someone, is really hard. I wouldn't focus too much on the budget at the moment, life happens and throws us curveballs. Just put one foot in front of another and allow yourself time, when needed to decompress. It's a lot to handle, so take the days as they come.
You're doing very well with your debt busting and you'll be in the £3,000s in no time. The SPC challenge will definitely keep you going, and I'm saving my penny challenge in a virtual pot. Hang in there, you're doing better than you think.xxDebt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Thanks Keedie, I hear what you say but hard non the less. Its so difficult to go through things like this and have a smile on my face at the same time on Teams calls and in front of my children, I know things will get better but flippin hard too at times to stay strong. Im off to see mum again this afternoon which Im looking forward to but again will be hard seeing her knowing she wants to go home, even though her dementia sees her fine one moment then crying and sobbing the next
1st of the month today so declared £1031.61 on the Payment a Day thread, which includes £1 to PAD pot and 68p to my Sealed Pot challenge. I can also include my Penny saving challenge too within the total so I have around £148 so far. The total for October on PAD thread was nearly £15000 which is fantastic given the rising costs of living. Everyone is sending what they can however small, and over the month will be a good amount towards debt, savings or whatever. Huge motivation on that thread for anyone wishing to join in!
Thats about all for now, I have just joined a £4.50 Prolific survey which is great, I have £3.80 cleared from 1 survey I did yesterday already with £4.20 pending plus this one, so going great guns on Prolific!

Go at your own pace hun and try not to stress about Teams calls. Can you say you're having issues with your webcam? Sometimes mine is glitchy to be honest.
I completely share your love of the PAD thread, it's one of my biggest drivers and I know that a lot of my debt clearance is thanks to the thread and those on it

Thanks LMD for your lovely comment and kind words about the PAD thread, as you say its those on there that are truly an inspiration/motivation when times are tough to give that support and cheer you on!
Just cleared £4.50 survey I was completing and cashed out another £8.30 which I have split £8 to PAD pot and 30p to my sealed pot challenge. Have £4.70 pending so need to do a few more surveys before I finish at lunch today.

Morning
Quick post today as Im already logged on and working as Im on my own this week at work due to hols so busy, busy!
£1.81 PADS today, split £1 to PAD pot and 81p to sealed pot. Ive now got £10 in my PAD pot, so will likely send to one of the Credit cards, undecided which one though.
My cash envelope mini budget reset yesterday, perhaps a good job as I need more fuel in the car from seeing mum yesterday. It was a hard one again as she was looking so confused when I walked in as if she didnt know who I wasIm off there again tomorrow so will need to sort filling up car today at some point.
Thats about all for now, nothing cleared on prolific and have £4.70 pending.

Hi Shell, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. Things sound very upsetting and I'd imagine you're feeling worn down by it all.
I work with a lady who cares for her Mom who has dementia. She cried the other day ( I did too) as she recalled the first time her Mom didn't remember her. I can't imagine how upsetting it must be to going through that and much more.
Do you have family and friends that can support you practically and emotionally? Even just someone to cry with when it gets too much.
I admire your resilence but I know its a case of life having to go on alongside all the additional stuff it throws at us.
I'm sending you lots of virtual support, a hug if you're a hugger and your favourite drink xxx3
