Yay, just cashed out £8 from Prolific and have £8.33 pending. Completed a fantastic paying survey of £5 which cleared straight away! Will send this to Sainsburys CC I think.

Just thought I would post my set up for my cash budgeting that I do on a weekly basis. I've pinched this from some budgeting people on youchoob, and it works for me. I've also treated myself to the small filofax binder (bargain find from T K m@xx for £4!!!) and ordered myself some smaller cash envelopes as this is more appropriate in size for going out when I don't take my handbag. xx

Ooooh that looks sooo nice @shell16! As much as my brain is telling me I need this, sadly I don’t deal with cash so I wouldn’t benefit
I think the pots system works the same way but for card only folk like myself 😂 dont yet have lots for takeaways/outings etc but in time perhaps! X

I think the cash envelopes system is one that works for some people but really doesn't suit others. I find increasingly that I almost never spend on anything from my purse these days - whether cash or cards - most of my spending now is via the contactless on my phone as it's so convenient. Having said that I DID spend cash on saturday for some food at Duxford - as much as anything because I remembered I had it and decided to save the hit to the bank account!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The flower envelopes are so cute!! Such a cute setup!
I am finding the cash stuffing really working for me, when I tried multiple accounts one for spending, one for savings, one for bills etc... I would just keep transferring from one to the other and just mindless spending on things that are not needed etc. I realise this is my own issue with no discipline etc
With the money physically in a binder I will just move the money from the envelope to my purse then go to the shop for whatever I was going for , fuel / food shop etc, and I can't sit at my desk and online shop as easily. So I am finding it really helpful.

Thanks @EssexHebridean and @rigare11a
I love this set up and didn't think it would work for me, but it has and like I said it doesn't suit everyone's set up. Personally, for me it keeps me focussed and I also love having cash left at the end of the week so I can transfer to whichever fund I'm concentrating on, so it does motivate me to keep on budget (or under as the case maybe!)
I have not managed to make any PAD's this weekend or indeed today as Im still waiting on Prolific to clear funds. I have £3.28 cleared and £5.05 Pending. Will arrange this asap after clearing.
Im again not in the office on Wednesday as I have a work visit elsewhere so the Train and Parking money of £13 will be sent as a PAD this week likely to Sainsburys CC as I would like to get this balance down. I will be using my own car again for work purposes and mileage will be good on this trip, around 210-mile round trip and around £100! I will certainly be sending a good portion of that to debt too.
Thats about all for now

Im super busy with work at the moment and its my usual half day working, so Im signed on already with a cup of tea, updating on here then head down and starting to plough through my work. As im out most of tomorrow in the car for a meeting I need to get on top of things.
