Day 2 test after return to the UK from Amber country - any good ones? any evidence of a price cap?

Was that from NWP ?jonboy_40 said:
I ordered a Fit to Fly PCR and a Day 2 PCR for my Hungary trip. They were £40 each, sent first class and came the following day. I’ll send both back by next day special delivery.71peyman71 said:NickRno77 said:I’ve been investigating this today, I’m going to Tenerife in October. Randox says £48 for fully vaccinated 2 day test, need to drop off. NWP Online say £40 for fully vaccinated 2 day test, can return by post as far as I can make out.I’m guessing if the tester messes up the postage or loses the test it doesn’t matter a jot as the passenger locator form has the ID code for the test. ( I wonder what happens if we put any old number on the form! ? )

Has anyone tried NWP? I tried to call them but there is no reply on the number they provide.
Is there any test provider that allows 3 tests to be bough in the same transaction? That's for one adult and 2 children. Or do I have to go through the purchase process 3 times? They say that you have to do each order under a separate transaction to generate different codes etc. This was fine as it was just me but could see how it would be pretty annoying if you’re ordering for multiple people. Postage was free so it made no difference to the cost.0 -
The cheapest I found was Expert Medicals which was £34.99 but may be even less now.You don’t need the result for anything. If it takes 10 days to arrive (or never arrives) that’s not your problem.I found Expert Medicals fine. I ordered the tests from abroad on the Sunday and they were waiting for me when I got home on Tuesday. I posted it back Wednesday and the result came back to me 8 days later. Slow certainly but it didn’t make any difference.1

im arranging day 2 tests for arrival in UK next week. Struggling to see the logic of tests that can take 8 days to arrive with results? Not expected to quarantine so by that time any damage is done if result was positive or am I missing something?

What you are missing is Johnson the Bumbling Buffon and his Cabinet more and likely are share holders in these testing companies or they are Tory Party Donors. There priority is to extract as much money from the general public as they can, if they were really interested in a proper testing program for the UK Holiday makers coming back to the UK we would just do what the Lorry Drivers crossing the channel do and just roll up at a NHS testing centre. Its a SCAM!fwil said:

I’ve used the same ref twice. We got put on an earlier flight home from Cancun when it went red, landed 3am on Sunday and we’re on a plane to Spain Monday morning at 10am. Didn’t need to use our day 2 home tests as we were essentially transiting so used them when we got home from Spain 4 days later. Used the same ref on our plf for Spain that we did for return from Cancun. No issues. Did home tests. My results are back in 24 hours hubs was more like 72 even tho same time same post box same company.NickRno77 said:I’ve been investigating this today, I’m going to Tenerife in October. no one is checking day 2 and it seems to me the requirement is for plf completion only. No one checked anything after our arrival in the U.K., no calls from anyone. Zilch. Both vaccinated, so unsure if that makes a difference or not. I wouldn’t stress about getting day 2 done, provided you do the tests and drop as required… all seems a giant money spin.

Yeah. Slightly concerned that they've now been removed from the MSE list thoughNickRno77 said:

I’ve also noticed that the list starts with more expensive tests. I will alert MSE and see if they plan to update. I guess when the list was made a few of the cheaper companies had a high postage charge, so weren’t cheaperjonboy_40 said:

Probably removed because according to NWP website they are SOLD OUT .As are most of the companies that were advertising cheap prices.0

My test packages from expert medical haven't arrived yet and tomorrow is day 2.
What am I supposed to do? What are my right? Obviously I will ask for a refund but what am I supposed to do about doing a test?0 -
Phone 119, they will advise and probably send you a home test kit .
Regarding a refund from Expert Medicals , their T&Cs state
We operate a strict no refund and returns policy with no exceptions.
