New Nationwide Switch - both new and existing?

Did you meet all the terms of the switch incentive? (ie. switch a current account from another bank which included 2x direct debits, etc?) Was it a full switch using CASS? Worst case you qualify for the £100 "new customer" bonus instead of the £125 "existing customer" offer. You should've gotten a few emails + text messages from Nationwide throughout the switch process - if you've not had then I'd get in touch with them.ironmankin said:Hi guys i opened a triple saver account and switched to a flex account few days later but both are showing as open in my account and no sign of the bonus ? any advice ?0 -
I think this poster's definition of "switch" seems to be "change account type".PRAISETHESUN said:

You can't qualify using a saving account (amongst other possible reasons for failure). Make the effort to read the terms (reproduced on page 4 of this thread) and ask here if you don't understand them.ironmankin said:Hi guys i opened a triple saver account and switched to a flex account few days later but both are showing as open in my account and no sign of the bonus ? any advice ?
.
You opened a FlexDirect ac.?
In the opening process you elected to switch?
What other bank's ac did you choose to switch to the flex account?

It says open triple saver (actually unnecessary), open a flex account and then switch a current account (from another bank) to the flex account.ironmankin said:

All my direct debits were transferred today and no payments have been claimed on them. However NW said provided they were transferred via the switch team then they are required as active.0

Whilst that may be true eventually, the person with whom you spoke is not the person(s) who make that decision.CRISPIANNE3 said:All my direct debits were transferred today and no payments have been claimed on them. To be fair, it doesn't actually say that, and I can see why ironmankin is confused. If you just read that last bullet point in isolation, it is implied that switching from a Triple Access Saver to a FlexDirect account is all you need to do. You have to read that bullet point in context to realise that you switch from another bank into the FlexDirect, and the Triple Access Saver is only opened to make you an "existing member" qualify for the higher bonus (although in fact this is not necessary, as opening the FlexDirect itself makes you an existing member).Zanderman said:

This is the issue with not reading the actual T&Cs of the offer. Those are very clear on what has to be done.Fingerbobs said:

This was put in writing from Nationwide BS. I think they know a little more than you and I in what is accepted as an active dd.kaMelo said:

"Hi there , thanks for the DM. If you have brand new direct debits set up, please contact your current bank provider, to check to see if they are already set up on the account you're looking to switch to us- just as long as they're showing on the account as a direct debit, when the switch completes, then they will count as 'active' direct debits'. Thanks, Kiri"

My two new DDs are showing in the donor account with the comment 'No payments made'. That would be enough it appears. They are both due to be paid in the coming week.
I want to have live access to the donor account up to September 17th. What date should I use as the switch date? TIA0
