4. This offer is only valid on the first sole current account and first joint current account you switch to us, even if we withdraw this offer and launch it again in the future.
As far as the target account is concerned, switching two joints into it will clearly involve a 2nd joint account switch which fails under term 4.

Does anyone remember whether NW offered a monetary switching offer in late 2017?That's when I opened the FlexDirect but all I remember was the 5% rate up to £2500, as well as a linked regular saver at the same rate. Also got a recommend a friend 200 bonus to share.0

Isn't it always a hard search for a new current account - overdraft facility or not (as you can still go into the red).0 -

Those switches above are irrelevant IMO, ie not under this offer.
Exclusions
Term 10
• You’re switching into a Nationwide account that has already been switched into and benefitted under this offer;

I agree there may be exceptions - but I have always had a hard search even when I was already a customer (including with Nationwide when I opened extra current accounts). So people should assume there will be a hard search - and be prepared for that in case they are for example about to apply for a mortgage (or have been approved for one). Not an issue for most people though!
Of course if merely switching into an existing Nationwide flexplus/flexdirect - there would be no hard search (as its an existing account).0 -
I know the DD has to have been active before the switch but what about after? Do the DD's then have to come out of the new NW account before the bonus is paid too or can they be cancelled as soon as the switch is complete?0
-
When will I get paid and how will the payment appear on my statement?
- We will credit the payment to the current account that you switched into within 10 calendar days of the full switch completing.
- The offer payment will appear on your statement as ‘Switching Offer’.
There is no reason that the DDs have to paid after the switch completes, wait for up to10 days until the bonus is paid then cancel the DDs if you need to.3
