Yes Ghostcrawler I think I will play it safe too would hate to miss out on the bonus!
Just to further complicate as regards active status or not, I was paying my Santander cc by DD from Lloyds and yesterday via Santander changed it to the same DD but paid from Co op (donor) account. So it’s paid out many times and don’t think it’s classed as setting up a new DD but amending a DD by changing the bank paying the DD.1 -

I dont know how these things works but if NW says it should have been paid then they know how to check it or there's a way for them to check1 -

I've already received 2 x RAF rewards hence why I decided to open the new accounts for the new switches.
(2 x DD's already active on all 3 donor accounts)
Scroungerwhy not flexdirect, just curious to know.
[AFAIK you don't get the promotional intro' rates on subsequent flexdirect accounts?]
So I just decided on the path of least resistance (if that makes sense).
I've had flex accounts before and like them for their simplicity.

Ah right, that makes sense and different perspective. I have also had quite a few flexdirect in past and still hold, so better to switch to something different then. Anyways these accounts will be dormant until something new comes up

I have the flex direct account and savings account. I've had this account since April 2018 but not certain if I have ever switched into it. However have set switch to start on the 7 September and the two dd's will be taking on the 1 Sept and the other on the 6 September from the donor account. As they say nothing ventured nothing gained.0

I am having Halifax Reward current account, I plan to close this and switch to my Nationwide current account.
Is below consider one of the active Direct Debit?
I will do the screen capture before the switch complete

By looking at the date seems this DD will be paid again tomorrow? Anyways yes this will be considered as active DD but you need 2 (just making you aware)

Yes and you will be considered as existing customer and get £125

I currently have a FlexDirect current account which I've had for over 5 years and had the first year interest paid at 5% upto £2500 or something....It was a new account - not switched into, so I believe I'll qualify for this incentive as an existing customer.I assume lots of people are / were in the same boat and have applied for this switch? If so, was it relatively straight-forward?Do you just log in as normal, search for the offer and just apply? Were there a load of questions to go through or pre-populated? Hard or soft credit search? Obviously, they'll ask for details of the CA to switch over and close.0
