Parking Eye KFC no time allowed at all

  • This is nothing to do with KFC , it's a retail park contract , for customers only , meaning when the businesses are open , defined as 10:00 to midnight
The confusion arises for drivers as this is a small area of a much larger parking area shared with others including McDonalds and the parking for the rest is unrestricted and not easy to tell what falls under which administration. KFC are the only retailer allowing Parking eye to operate on their patch, so to speak. This is the signage through out the majority of the adjoining estate

Then take it to Popla , and if that fails then let a judge decide , in court
  • As shown the KFC estate is a small part of a bigger shopping complex

So deal with it as detailed in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements , first post to start with , plan A is the best option , before any plan B appeal to Parking Eye within 28 days

Plan C is a Popla appeal in the third post

Plan D is court , within 6 years , in the second post

That sign is pants, read this and complain to your MP.

Is it the Willy Wonkerish blob of small print high on a pole you think is worth flagging up, as being an unreasonable expectation to read/understand ?

The site appears to be managed by Savills. It's a strong possibility that they have contracted with ParkingEye. Savills have generally been helpful in getting parking charges cancelled, especially where there has been a genuine mixup, or reason for an overstay. Try them.

Do a forum search on their name - there is a contact name that crops up from time to time who has proved helpful.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It seems Savills have the management of bulk of the Ellesmere/Walkden site and have no restrictions, but it is KFC who have partnered up with ParkingEye as ParkingEye are only operating on the section KFC have leased/bought.

But KFC tend to use Civil Enforcement , not Parking Eye !! , Whereas I believe that Savills do use Parking Eye , plus KFC tend to lease , not own
  • A bit of digging reveals "Walkden Town Centre" is owned by the Derwent Group, and commercial units are leased out through Savills. KFC are on the Walkden Town Centre webpage as a lease holder, and ironically in the fanfare and blurb about 2000 free spaces there is a warning that independently KFC have introduced parking restrictions! https://walkdentowncentre.co.uk/?s=parking
