Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 5 - Trying to recover from the pandemic

I sell my crochet blankets on Etsy but it’s not very profitable. I had a good following on Etsy for another craft so my page wasn’t lost in the algorithms. I find that sofa size blankets and smaller sell best but you won’t get top prices unless you have a huge following backed up with other social media presence. I make enough from each blanket to fund the next but nothing for my time. But I’m churning them out as a hobby rather than a business. Etsy fees are horrid too so that needs to be taken into account. You’d be better off selling to friends and family on FB.This isn’t a slight on your blankets, I’ve not seen them and I’m sure they’re wonderful but Etsy isn’t the easiest route to take as a new seller.14

I feel your pain with year 11, I've been contemplating methods to dispose of their bodies while trying to get any motivation from my lot.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Evening all
MatyMo - thanks so much for your advice. I have ordered my dad some Heat Holders - fingers crossed they will help.
Another utterly draining day. We are in a fairly decent situation at school in terms of staffing and kids so that's not the problem... it's the working so hard and feeling as though you're the only one that does anything at all in the room. I'm relieved that it's not just me and mine but so sorry that all teachers seem to be finding this at the moment.
Craft fair might be an idea for selling some of my blankets... I don't fancy setting up shop on Etsy at all. Thanks for letting me know Jellytotts - I already have 2 kids, 7 cats and 2 jobs so the crochet is my wind down time. It's a hobby rather than my wanting to make a lot of money from it, but I don't have the time to run a business as well.
Another nsd - mainly because it already feels like the 63rd of January but also because I had my packed lunch from the freezer and my overnight oats so I didn't need anything else.
Also had my psychiatric triage over the phone. I'm on the waiting list for some more CBT, and I have a slightly different diagnosis than the anxiety I am usually told about. It's still anxiety but all stems from my lack of self esteem. So I need to learn how to silence my inner critic and love myself a bit more. Waiting time is months rather than weeks but at least it's a start.
Anyway - not much else to talk about apart from being tired so I'm going to get back to my latest bit of 'finishing up' crochet. Not giving up

Hello
Quick check in because I'm absolutely exhausted tonight. It's been Year 11 Parents Evening, all over video call, which was a bit odd. Nicer than phone calls but not as nice as face to face meetings. I've been home less than an hour and I get to get up and go back in 11 hours for another day.
On top of that I have a bit of work to do for the other job before I can go to bed tonight. I did a load of work on it over Christmas and then yesterday someone shifted the goalposts. I hate people wasting my time but I feel like the two days I spent over Christmas was well and truly wasted.
I splashed out £3 on a magic bag from Costalot. I have 3 sandwiches and a veggie breakfast, which means I don't need to worry about finding time to make stuff for tonight or tomorrow. Happy days.
Absolutely nothing else to report at all because I've just been at work. Not giving up

Either he knows where the bodies are hidden or they are all so corrupt they wouldn't recognise the truth if it jumped up and bit them on the backside.

What annoys me is that I’m a civil servant and we are forever being told we must adhere to the civil service code of conduct. Seems it doesn’t apply to those further up the chain though 🤬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)12

He is waiting to be sacked - then he can see himself as the victim - or possibly they are ringing round trying to find a floor to sleep on, with someone who is not isolating, or has not buried someone close to them and therefore wants to do them physical harm. Bet they rented out their own flats as an extra income when they shacked up in #10, and nobody is daft enough to have moved in without a contract with that pair of shysters.I hope that like Mr Banks in Mary Poppins, they punch a hole in his bowler hat, and the whole fraternity turns it back on him and nobody will employ the wretched thing, then he gets refused Universal Credit as he has made himself voluntarily unemployed, and voluntarily homeless. Who would employ the ratbag now?4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
