 the anytime call packages usually sit in the £8-£10 band with most other providers and this is something i would look into as someone in the household makes use of the landline, plus there's a few ( almost all older) people that don't have a mobile/have a mobile switched on and won’t answer the landline if it's an 07 number or ask to be called back via a landline(???)

Sorry, don't know why I said it was just evening and weekend calls. I've just signed up to them myself and binning Sky BB (although technically they are the same).

Just had my first out of contract plus net bill, £45 - ouch.

That's entirely down to you and the broadband service you're planning on moving too. Like I said earlier, I'm happy with my current FTTC speeds of 78Mbps so I've joined Now Broadband at £22pm plus anytime calls (and £90 cashback).
