I'm wondering how all these sellers /buyers have each others personal numbers.

I'm super super careful with my mobile and never answer unknown numbers anyway.
It's so simple now to get a SIM to use purely for the period of the transaction and the same with email addresses. Well worth doing this and then closing them down afterwards.

I went back to visit a neighbour to pick up a parcel. Half my kitchen was on the front lawn. I adored my kitchen, but knew it wasn't for everyone. I was annoyed that the IKEA shelves had been in the kitchen were on the lawn and I had just purchased new ones for our new houses utility room. If I had gone around a few days earlier I may have saved some money by 'obtaining' them from the front lawn!

Really good idea!  I've done it with email addresses but never thought about it with a SIM.

I'm also another off to watch The Intruder.

    And...

I need more info on the person living in the loft 🙈

A poster on reddit wrote about when he bought a large house, he kept getting the feeling someone was getting into the house while he was out.  After some months he realised the previous owner never left and was still living in the loft space
Several people gave versions of this urban myth last time this topic came up. I pointed out it was a well known urban myth and my posts were removed and I was warned not to call people liars! So I won't do it again...
So are you saying that this has never happened?
    I don't believe you.

We bought one house and the original owners (who hadn't moved too far away) were soon seen picnicking (with their kids) in the park facing our house and looking at it longingly.

The loft post has got me thinking.

    I remember when I was
younger, I visited a friend, who lived in a block of 3 houses I am sure all the loft space was connected so it was like 1 Long Room.

My friend's mum told us the old owner stored some boxes in the loft and didn't remove them, they came back for them and my friend's mum wasn't in so went into the loft through a neighbour and collected the boxes that way.

Not sure if I remember that correctly or if it was a dream I'm sure many stories could be told from connecting loft spaces.... 🙈🙈

We looked at a house recently and there was a memorial for relatives who had sadly passed away in the garden.
This had been a family home (the vendor had only ever lived there).
It did unnerved me a little, as would the memorials be expected to remain after the vendor left and would they come back to pay their respects and would there be grief if the new owner removed them?
