I'm really feeling an urge towards that too at the minute - I've even started asking myself when considering buying something if I think I'm likely to be wanting to get rid of it again in a year 😂3

Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend.
Good Friday I managed an Insanity workout before seeing some lovely friends for lunch including a very active and cute 16 month old baby - I really dont know how parents cope in that 16-36 month age group - especially if only one parent present. It took 3 of us to entertain one child..;)
We had a decent GF pizza and some red wine.. I was tired the rest of the day as always when drinking even a little at lunchtime, and grabbed some sweets etc on way home..
All weekend I am seeing friends each day and the issue is drinking when you see them all - even if as yesterday just 2 glasses it all adds up. I also eat junk after drinking so its a double whammy on the health/weight side.
Did my EMS workout today ahead of studio being closed for rest of Easter - its good as its a 5 mile round trIp that I chose to walk on a lovely fresh sunny day. Seeing some friends for a drink in an hour ...I aim to stick to either only red wine (less sugar) or sparkling water as not getting the work I want to do given the amount of lovely friends I am catching up with. My Easter idea of getting work done for my project is getting a bit sidelined on all my socialising ... so need to find a balance there.
Doing some quick MB now.
I am also aware I am now 3 days in the new tst and I dont need to be eating excessively given the weight gain I put on on the last one... so great news is I have trained 6 days of the last 7 (Wed was day off) and I continue to make that a priority. However as we all know you cant out train a bad diet..
Popped to Morries on way back from gym and got more protein and fresh veg - no junk as if i buy it I eat it!
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Just catching up 😃
Since reading complex PTSD I've completely cut my father off. I still have bouts of anxiety over it but overall I am much happier. Oddly my mother cut herself off from me around the same time (they're not together) and I'm not so okay about that but realised in all the cord cutting with the past I've been doing spiritually speaking she has distanced herself. She is stuck in the past. I'm trying to heal it and move on. Both In different timelines it feels.
Well done for making the decision for you not to go.
Small kids and one parent...I was single parent on and off throughout my 26 years of parenting so far and at one point I had two small ones and when I look back now I see why I thought I was losing my mind 😆. I couldn't cope now. I take my hat off to my friends who've had babies later on in life.
I love the ROK (random act of kindness) to your friend on UC struggling and giving her clothes to sell on v1nted ...I often do things like this now as I always seemed to have someone put me back on track just as I thought I'd derail 💞 good karma!

i try and plan what i eat ahead of time and i do like salad luckily so usually go for that, dressing on side.
however healthy options not always available so it’s tricky
as for the baby, they do need constant entertainment at that age and are exhausting, that’s why I only did it once 🤣🤣🤣

so now if I buy clothes they always go together and I wear them, definitely reduced wasteful purchases and shopping takes less time as I go straight to my colours.
definitely stops me buying as some shops are just full of black and grey so I step in then straight out 🤣🤣
I need to put loads of clothes on Vinted to sell as before colour analysis was done I bought things which didn’t suit and definitely didn’t co-ordinate.
i love the fact that when I buy something it has something i can pair it within my wardrobe.
i also adjust clothes I’ve bought so i change necklines or add things to make them unique.

Have you considered having a 0% G&T instead of alcohol when you see your friends. We do that now, and there are some really good "refreshing isotonic beverages" (alcohol free beers in Bavaria can't be called beer because of the strict rules) around now, although rather more calorific than spiritsSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Random acts of kindness come back in unexpected ways dont they? Generous to give the clothes to your friend, you help her in a way that is supportive and kind. Love that.
(Also a fan of colours and invested in a professional to clear my wardrobe when was with the ex and at an all time low and that started my life changing journey).Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
I drink the zero g and t, I had one last week that was rhubarb and ginger with ginger beer and slices of stem ginger in - was lush 😄😄. Came in a proper gin glass so you don’t feel left outSealed pot challenge 822

Hope everyone had a great weekend break.
@debtfreewannabe321 yes that book has really made me see how I am triggered and then I lose a few days every time I come back = as I need to recover. My sister is NC with my dad but I wont just as it will leave my mum alone (they are together) but its good to have the knowledge and work around it.
@V3cash thanks for popping in! I can see why one child is more than enough
Interesting that you and @Watty1 both loved having your colours done, sound like it was worthwhile to you both moving forward.
I am pretty arty and have figured out what works style and colour wise, I have wardrobe(s) full of glorious vintage dresses and only wear colours (red, blue, green) - as I discovered white looks awful on me and black just depresses me - it may 'slim me down' but having fun in bright clothes is far more fun (think a younger Iris Apfel)dawnybabes said:I drink the zero g and t, I had one last week that was rhubarb and ginger with ginger beer and slices of stem ginger in - was lush 😄😄. My friend cooked me lunch yesterday and a cold glass dry white was already out waiting for me but I had just two small glasses, admittedly followed by ice-cream and strawberries
EMS this morning and on the walk back I stopped in a famous London park and wrote down my to-dos for the next 2.7 weeks. Its a lot but I feel clear and focused - had an early night yesterday which helped.
Food wise I have ordered some more vegan protein shake for brekkies (applied nuti**** critical plant based) strawberry flavour which I use with frozen blueberries, organic spinach/kale, ice, flax seeds and chia. I am about to run out of the Choc version but I prefer the strawberry
Also ordered 3 x Chorella as there was an Easter sale and i find it really helps the allergies, my digestion and how I feel.
Chasing invoices again today and a side hustle tonight. I have organised my to do lists and I have someone coming over at the weekend to help me film, do some tech stuff for my side hustles - much of which I can do myself but he is quicker and fact I am paying someone to come over means I will prepare what I need - and push me to get started.
I roast a FR chicken on Sunday so today I made HM stock then a lime, chicken and cannelloni beans soup with chilli, garlic, ginger, shitake mushrooms and other veg
Still drip feeding small amounts into my Van sipp, its sitting there in cash from last tax yearDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

I'm interested in these colour palettes. I'd love to get mine done. For now though I've put my pic into an AI chat to see what it came up with and it's suggested one which actually fits well and it's all the colours I would usually buy that people compliment me on...so maybe it's right... would still like to get it done properly.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
