Are you watching the new series of Grand Designs? Not at all helpful with the flat hunt, except maybe as a what not to do ๐๐๐5

Applying for jobs! That sounds exciting so we might see a purchase moving closer good luck with the flat hunting it is good to see what is out there and what you like. I agree they do normally get swayed by more space inside and out in return for a slightly different area to what they originally wanted.ย

Just catching up ๐ DP and I put it on our vision board that by the time we'd watched all episodes of LLL we'd be moved into our new house ๐ so we started them the day we decided to move. Even though the prices were way out of date the show was helpful I thought and they were looking at things I hadn't thought about. And DP liked watching it (he usually gets bored with TV) because I remind him of Kirsty (not sure if it is the looks or bossiness ๐คฃ).
Water filter- I see you sorted it now but for anyone on the fence for a reverse osmosis system I would recommend! The plumbing is really not much effort and the water is as good as distilled tastes.
Oh and divorced friends ๐ I had one ex of a friend banging my door down once to speak to her....she had said she was staying at mine. Didn't tell me. And wasn't there obviously whilst he came sobbing shouting screaming drunk looking for her. I laugh now but I was so annoyed at her putting me in the middle ๐ they're thankfully happy divorced now and I remain out of the middle lol

I've been absolutely terrible keeping up with diaries over the last few years, but it's really fun diving back in and seeing what everyone's up to behind just the numbers

Watty1 said:Poor friend.ย I had a neighbour who has an ex a bit like that.ย One evening he rang me 39 times !!ย I had left my phone outside so I didn't hear it - when I saw it I imagined some emergency and rang back and he suggested it was a pocket dialย !!!!!!??ย ย ย As I know to my cost when a relationship goes south everything goes.ย I would only ever enter into anything with a written signed dated agreement setting out what would happen in the event of xxx.ย ย (I actually had one with the VNM whilst going through the crap giving him permission to remove my horses and explaining how their care would be funded in the event of anything happening to me - my accountant helped with that out of sympathy)
Iย cant be doing with the crazies or the constant texting ... any early signs of dramaย or emotional instability and I am out ... I have learnt that people do show you who they are quite quickly.ย One sign of unkindness, rudeness, inability to regulate their own actions...especially under the influence and then not taking responsibility and action to change .. La Plan is off on her wild horse
@Watty1 did you say you used a particular platform to launch your course? Could you maybe DM me it please? As need to think - may try masterclass or udemy but then I need to look at what their requirements are as I have not done video as yet,
Best audio transcription service for batchs of audio files - any recommendations please?
PROGRAMME MOVEMENT!!!ย ย long term readersย will know I have a programme written,ย bought the domain, got cover artwork, then I did the audio files, but then I killed my laptop with coffee and my back ups were out of date so i lost it.ย years have passed and all these software classes are inspiring me to get it finished and out there.. especially as I am learning tools to help me build better websites.
So I have yesterday tested the Whisper audio transcription service for free (on a mac) . However to do batch loads of files (as have pre recorded audio) they charge.. i know G docs etc all do individual files but I have loads. So Iย wonder if anyone out here has tried these tools, I think for time I should just pay for a batch tool to transcribe the audios, adding marekers etcย ย - as otherwise I will have to upload each file individually, name them, transcribe, check transcription andย organise .. and there are more thanย 75ย i think of them which then need checking and adding in the right order..
I probably need to do video as well but lets get this moving
JOBS
Not actually applied but I have seen a couple andย will get the CV updated. Feel I am getting congratulated for something I have not fully acheived as yet
BEANS..
I made a brilliant version of Mexican refried beansย yesterday after weeks of trying, added in onion etc and served with panfried chicken, avocado, plate of green veg and cauli, and hot sauce.... The freezing ofย soaked uncooked beans before then cooking really helps with the texture, cooking and no gassiness!
Currently doing a lentil dal affairย with added mushrooms, cavolo nero, shallots and soya beans but have rest of the Waitr*** pinto dried beans now in the freezer.
I have not found pinto dried beans in my local supermarkets - need to go searching, waitr do 500g for ยฃ1.95 but I am sure I can get that cost down.
Classes
My mind is on fire, loving the classes and the AI prompt class is super interesting and got plans as well for the Thurs one
Invoices - I added up what one company owes me , I do trust I am getting it paid but I am now charging them decent (for me) interest on unpaid invoices and have back dated it to when they started being late, the deal still going thru. So yesterday I sent it over and got some cash last night, but a lot more to come.ย
YNABย I thus got home from class then a fab night out in London town, lots of old friends, frieze is on and free drinks (tequila and champagne was drunk) as wellย (had to say no to the free pizza as gluten in) and slightly drunkenly apportioned my newly received monies in ynab. I am def a budget nerd...
Again it was reinforced that keeping your true expenses pots filledย and up to date really takes your cash away and makes you feel YNAB poor, adding extra chunks to my Xmas pots as they a bit lean, birthday monies as have 4 family bdays coming up and I will be paying for at least one family bdayย dinner
Plus I have added some to my sipp category, taxes,ย a small amt house dep savings butย I have domain renewals and other subsย coming up in Dec ..and my tax bill.. which is definitely underfunded
So whilst I had done a 'next months money category' last month so as soon as the first of the month rolled over I had the cash ready saved for rent etc, now that category needs refilling and is only partially done as I have chosen to fund some of the true expenses. I cant believe after years of saying I didnt need YNAB,ย just having that very clear constant tracking of what I am spending and where I am clearly choosing to buy X instead of the Y I was saving forย as I have to move my money around. I think its gonna be 'YNAB til I die '
ย
Side hustles
I am doing a regular side hustle on Tuesdays and loving it, not hugely well paid but convenient, fun, keeps my hand in and extra cashย paid end of each month, getting fabulous feedback as well.
MB/trading the new software is great but just takes time so I am trying to do it when I can, the other software bought in April is great. I am now largely doing value betting and so once you accept the ups and downs you then can chill knowing the upward trend of making long term profitย is inevitable - my detailed excels are all v clear on that.
