Inspired by your energy. May also take the leave the phone outside the room tip. I tend to check the horses at night on mine if I wake though but I also waste time on it scrolling, although getting better with the BlockSite app,
I've been going to bed for about 7.30 ish, 8pm latest and watching a bit of TV. Some days I manage to get up at 5 with and tackle work projects. I'd like to exercise more but I'll have to stick with riding the horses for now.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

@Watty1 the leaving the mobile outside the bedroom the last 2 days has been a game changer for me - far too easy to scroll when I am in bed - or if I cant sleep to then pick up mobile... Also means in the morning I cant open phone whilst in bed and delay my getting up time.. Bed at 8/30pm - are definitely country hours
I didnt realise how excited everyone can get about soda crystals! @debtfreewannabe321 and @SandyShores I will get some
My phone chat on work went well, I had done loads to mitigate most queries - and I am going in next week to set up next part so looks like the work flow is still happening as a baseline income ...
Phew - I was concerned given my house buying...
I have also looked at how much is owed and .. if I told you you would all be picketing my home with large placards stating get the money
I have had a conversation about it and I am building a super spreadsheet for the morning .. i have been promised it will all be paid .. when all the cash comes in I will be well placed to buy - my deposit is about £115k now and it will mean I can put £125k down with a decent EF behind me as well - Client knows once I have found the new home I will have to have the cash...
I will thus call the Mortgage broker in the morning and get that moving..
I was paid some yesterday as well - have allocated it to cover my corp tax bill - 22/23 difference so I can keep my PB's intact and say they are hse deposit as opposed to tax savings and all my essential and most my longer term annual pots are now full for Jan
SIPP £400 in
I have added £400 to my SIPP just - I like to get £10k a year added - only at £4080 so far this year as been behind on being paid .... I will get there by April 5th ...
i have just about £51.5k in SIPPS now and looking at my own pension/sipp s/sheet
On 4% take out at 67 (excluding any growth (!) and including my DB and SP but excluding any changes on those which again is unlikely ) I would have about £19,214 pa to live on.. Decent if I own my own home .... not good if I dont.. I do feel I will get great growth in 13 years however this half baked basic figure is another metric to watch.
My Earn £1 Million S/Sheet and % of the goal so I am well under half of 1% of the big goal !
This is a new random page on my life/savings G sheet - had this mad idea whilst journalling - I am tracking as from Jan 24 if I can earn/make a £1,000,000 in the next 6 (!) or 10 years. I keep hearing how we all earn loads in our lifetime ...
This feels impossible as I dont earn £150k a year or even £100k but what I track I win at so ... this excludes taxes as I have my own company and excludes also all expenses - its EARN £1m but am tracking in large chunks ... (YNAB has all the fine detail so easy to add at the end of each month)
All Income paid
Interest earnt + Mkt movements
Sales of stuff/MB/Comping/vouchers
My YNAB makes it easy to see the figures but thought I would also do a % of the million ... I can see from now being month 3 of ynab the amount of money coming in
YNAB love is still here - I have a lot in my various bank accts but all categorised so I am not feeling rich enough to spend loads... apart from on the home of my dreams
NSD so far but may buy a drink or two this eve
My date Friday is now this eve - he asked if we could move it if possible so I said yes....
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Glad you're finally starting to get paid, you're damn right we're picketing if the rest doesn't turn up by the end of April. Absolutely ludicrous for you to have to envisage what's do-able house-wise not knowing if or when you'll be paid for your work. Invoice them every Monday morning, they've taken the mick for quite long enough!
Date night on Fri is exciting, where ya going, what ya wearing...5 -
Oooh I hope the date goes very well! I'm a sucker for other people's romances!4

The one million goal is a fun one - I have it too - including £500,000 in 2024 Now I may never get to that £500,000 (never say never lol) but just having it has focused my mind on spending. If I had picked a small goal like £5000 which i can do I don't think I would have the same focus.
Focus, downsize, earn more, spend less ...who knows maybe I will get thereMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
