    Bar prices are one of the joys of living in london …… ouch ! 

    Me and my hubby were like this.  I was fiercely independent and he wanted to take care of me, we clashed loads at first till we sorted it out.

    That sounds like it went well on the surface, heated debates are fantastic fun and good learning experiences as long as you're both clear that the argument is the fun of the debate rather than competing to decide who's right and entitled to ever speak on the subject
    Bit poor to lose his phone, but these things happen, and it's decent of you to make sure he got back okay and decent of him to say he'd pay you back rather than assume 
    Sounds good that he lives outside London too so you've got distance to see how things build a bit more slowly

    I couldn't cope with the bar tab never mind the uber cost. I paid for a meal for 10 once for probably less than those two costs combined... however you did want the fabulous along with the frugal...

    3) Mortgage neutral by 06/30 (AVC £41.6K + Lump Sums DB £4.6K + (25% of SIPP 1.4K) = 47.6K of £127.5K target 37.33% 16/5/26 (If took bigger lump sum = 69.5K or 54.5%)
    4) FI Age 60 income target min £17.1/30K 57% (may need more) If bigger lump sum £15.8/30K 52.67%
    5) SIPP £5.6K updated 16/5/26
