All inclusive holiday

We bought an all inclusive holiday to Mallorca, when we arrived we were told that the government had restricted the all inclusive drinks to 6 halves of larger or wine per day per person, all other alcohol had to be paid for.
on return we complained to holiday company asking for a refund of the money we spent on drinks, they have refused. We believe we were missed sold the holiday, and they should have informed us about this.

Should we take this further?

It was all inclusive.
It wasn't unlimited alcohol.
What was the exact wording regarding drinks ?0 -
The Mirror reported on this in Feb 2020:
Majorca and Ibiza's booze ban explained including Brits who could be exempt - Mirror Online
The article says that only a few resorts are affected by this ban (Magaluf is one).
I would have expected that this would have been shown on the booking website (who did you book with?) or pointed out by in-store staff at the time of booking.
However, TUI are currently advertising All Inclusive in Magaluf with no notification of this.
TUI website says:Unlimited local and international drinks including soft drinks, juices, hot and cold drinks and cocktails 10.00-24.00 - Premium drinks at an extra charge.

Consumer rights aside, 6 half pints of lager a day per person would take any one person well above the recommended maximum units per week. They've tried to do you a favour...0

We booked on 4/7/21 went on 11/7/21
I have no idea when they brought this law in.The wine was awful
we booked with sun master they didn’t tell us about the drinks,
their website says all drinks and food included, as far as I’m concerned All Inclusive means all day /night drinks, we have been on many all inclusive holidays the meaning is in the title ALL INCLUSIVE0 -

Last orders for all-inclusive booze in hotels in Mallorca (majorcadailybulletin.com)
That article is dated 17th January 2020 and says:Balearic Ministry for Tourism announced this morning that they would be limiting the amount of alcohol which is served in hotels in Magalluf and Playa de Palma from next week.
The government announced that tourists would have a quota of just six alcoholic drinks per day (three with each main meal) in a move aimed at outlawing so-called booze tourism. The bombshell announcement is expected to cause some controversy especially as it is only limited to two areas of the island.
Does the website say unlimited drinks?
You might think that "All Inclusive means all day /night drinks" but not all AI hotels offer that.
You need to read the description to see what they mean by AI.
For example, some hotels include ice creams, others charge extra.
I would have started my complaint to SunMaster with the point that they should have advised you that the hotel you chose was in the resort that limited drinks to 6 by the Balearic Ministry for Tourism.1 -
Well it's not just in the title it's in the terms and conditions.
you need to look through the terms and conditions of your booking to see whether there is any small print either specifically about what drinks are included or anything about government restrictions.
If there isn't anything in the Terms and conditions then whoever is the lead traveller should send then a "Letter before action" with your receipts.0
