Thanks @Redx, yes just on the emailed defence. Have now changed - I did also change the title on the Acknowledgment of Service form, in the section 'Defendant’s full name if different from the name given on the claim form' so should tally

Dear trusted advisors,
My case has been allocated to the County Claims Court on 9th May and the deadline to submit my witness statement is this Friday.
I received a 'friendly' phone call last week from Gladstones offering a deal of £160 to settle out of court. Is this standard? I am thinking I should refuse or counter them with the suggestion that they drop the case, thereby avoiding wasted time and having to pay my costs?
I am rewriting my witness statement now and assembling my evidence...
Best, Hannah

Yes, ignore any friendly phone calls as they will be far from that! Just make sure you do not miss the deadline for filing and serving your WS.

Base your draft WS on the recent first one by @ricky_balboa and you can then edit it (remove stuff not applicable to your case, such as if he denies driving in his WS but you don't - depends on your facts).
To see what the whole bundle looks like, also read the WS thread by @jrhys from last year because he showed his exhibit list and cover sheet, costs, headings, the whole bundle.
The reason for using ricky's newer WS as your base and not jrhys' is because the Government has banned fake debt recovery add-ons in February and ricky's WS includes words about why that matters even to existing PCNs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks so much @Coupon-mad I've found @jrhys's template doc but still trying to find the WS by @ricky_balboa which you mention - might you be able to paste a direct link?
Best wishes, Hannah1 -
That is a link. His username is.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Really sorry - I did click on the link but it takes me to his profile and a list of every post he ever made. If I search 'witness statement' I get hundreds of results, can't see his template letter. What am I doing wrong?

If you click on Discussions (i.e. threads he started) on the left of his profile page you'll find that only two of them are linked with this forum.
