The one minute difference is irrelevant

Ideally you want a complaint to the MSA to achieve a cancellation

2 hours free is standard at all MSA s

Ps , they didn't monitor you , it's the vehicle they monitored , using it's VRM plates

If you believe that it was 2 short visits , there should be 4 pictures , so reply and give them 7 days to produce every picture of the vehicle , stating that with 2 short visits there should be a minimum of 4 pictures , 2 in , 2 out

In your opening post you told us:
    JustBee said:
I looked at my previous bank statements to see where I was and what I bought on that day and it shows 2 trips to the same Macdonalds on this land. So they had me going in and going out on one time only but there were two separate trips. I can now kind of recall the day due to other payments from my bank account that day.

@D_P_Dance's post on 9 August at 9:08AM seems to have been completely overlooked.
    Here it is again:

This is called double dipping, it happens when ANPR cameras malfunction.  They are sufficiently unreliable as to be banned in local authority car arks.

Read these and complain to your MP and Trading Standards.

You need to tell Group Nexus this was a double visit, and ask their DPO to interrogate the data for what ANPR camera PPCs call the orphan images ('in' and/or 'out' if one or both were captured) in between the default error 'first in, last out' images.

Send a complaint to the MSA telling them the above as well and insisting their call their dogs off immediately or you will report them and Group Nexus to the ICO.

Why is there recent mention of MSAs?

@JustBee, did these alleged parking events take place at a Motorway Service Area?
  • Hi Keith

Yes it was a Motorway Service Area.

I spoke to the MSA and they basically told me to speak to CPL about it as they monitor the car parks. I tried emailing again and was told again there was nothing they could do.

Would they tamper with the date, it looks like I was there 2 trips in and out on the 3rd March but in a completely different town on the 13th March. The parking notice is for the 13th March.

I can't for the life of me recall why I'd need to visit there and stay 3 hours. Macdonalds would have been the reason passing through but I can't understand me staying for 3 hours!

    This is such a mess!

Sounds like they are using USA dates , we have several of these at the moment , read a few other threads about misuse of the dates due to USA issues

Who did the complaint go to at the MSA ?

Did you complain direct by email to their CEO ? We recommend that you do so

You weren't meant to speak to the MSA.  No phone calls. See all the zillions of other CP Plus MOTO or Roadchef threads and copy what they did.

  • I did a live chat with a customer services representative who told me he'd pass on the details as they had a dedicated manager for the car parking problems etc. and I couldn't get past him as I tried to get that information off him so I could do it myself. I wasn't confident anyone would bother getting back to me but he wasn't having it. I didn't think to send it to their CEO. I'll have another go and let you know how I get on.
  • Ahhh right, I didn't realise Coupon-mad. I'll go take a look and not do anything else until I've had a proper look. Bear with me, I'll keep you updated.
