Its a Nokia 6230
serial no (IMEI): 352953000347850
Network Provider is Vodafone
Ps. I've had the phone 18 months or so, its one of the first Nokia 6230 that came out and its got the buggie firmware v03.14 if that means anything to you.
Pps. I just went on google to see if there was a way to check if it was indeed locked as I haven't got another sim to check, one site suggested
# pw+ 1234567890 +1 # Provider LOCK status
# pw+ 1234567890 +2 # network LOCK status
# pw+ 1234567890 +3 # Country LOCK status
# pw+ 1234567890 +4 # Sim Card LOCK status
(My advice is do not try these)
I tried the first one with the sim in and got the message 'Code Error' _pale_ . Needless to say I'm an idiot. Does that count as a 5th attempt.
Thanks for any help.
this should be your code:

drahcir wrote:the security code wont unlock the phone to other networks, it is just a security phone lock to stop others using the phone
try this code
#pw+177554205577051+7#
use the * key to get the #PW+ symbols
Great thanks, worked a treat & phone unlocked too! :T :j :T :j

Doesn't work that one mate. Thought you didn't use V1 / V2 codes for T-Mobile UK?
Anyone else?0 -

Thanks ever so much! That worked like a treat - have just joined MoneySavingExpert's forum and have already made the first saving with a free unlocking code for my Nokia 2650!!!
BTW - bought it from Amazon, who're doing the Orange PAYG version for £37.99 with free delivery, as opposed to the O2 PAYG for about seventy quid.0 -

Thanks drahcir, I think you're right, at least I hope so. I tried this one anyway and it just said 'code error', thats definately my fifth try. I'm going to try someone's sim from another network to see if what you say is true.
I'll let everyone know how it went. :money:
Just one last question. I'm thinking of getting a contract with 3 (three) and wonder if its just as easy to get a nokia phone unlocked on that network? Its likely that it will be a 6630 or 6680, these phones are reletively new and I've noticed they're not in any unlockable lists, yet.0 -
Can anyone give me the unlocking code/codes for a newly purchased 3120 on T-mobile.
IMEI: 3556800038904310 -

the 6630 and 6680 cannot be unlocked by free codes - only by network operator which is not cheap. i would think all the new nokias will go the same way. at the min nearly all the other nokias can be done by code still0
