can be done with free s/w and cable if its an earlier version but its a bit of messing about. easier to take to unlocking shop
free codes are about but they will cause problems with your phone

if it was on orange but now works on o2 then it should work on all networks as it sounds like it is already unlocked

Have tried it with a vodaphone sim card and get a sim not valid message
