So she has actually said stuff knowing it would be hurtful? This is not someone you need in your life. It is easy enough to hurt someone without intending to but to do it on purpose for no other reason than to hurt!!!! Please don't waste any more time (or emotional energy) on her. You deserve better & so do those animals.ETA - my friends step son after I had just met his in-laws for the first time what they thought, his MIL said well she tells it like it is doesn't she. We all get on great by the way. So it isn't just on here where I can be anonymous that I say what I feel.3

I don't know who Captain Awkward is........
Thank you all for being you. I spoke to my real life friends - as I was really upset last night. They knowing more of the background of the friendship backed you all!
She didn't drunk message as I thought which was a relief.
in other news have worked out the living space and mostly the conservatory. I did some of the moving today. Had a good chat with my sister and spent some quality time with the buns. I sort of feel like my engine is sputtering in to life again.
Tomorrow is food delivery, living room, some shed time, maybe tip... (oh the excitement!)
Tuesday is Tip, conservatory
Wednesday my room and dentist for mum
Thursday more upstairs generally and the shed since currently it isn't raining then.
Friday - TipNevertheless she persisted.4 -

I thoroughly recommend the Captain Awkward archives for any dilemma. Actually for anything, including just sanity and education and consolation. Worth a read around any time.

Captain Awkward is good. Made me sad. It is easy to forget what good friends we were. I knew taking on the rabbits would make it difficult. I believed her when she said she was skint. I knew she was having a hard time post break up but I was having a hard time with Mum. Taking the rabbits was the thing I did to help. I couldn't go out at the drop of a hat or get drunk mid week (never could do that to be fair!) She has other friends! There was covid for God's sake. Friendships come to an end I guess.
Oh why is everything so hard and uncomfortable *blows massive raspberry*
Today was a decent day. I have moved the living room round. Almost got to the point of having a useable table. Poor Mum. She is frail and tired and confused. I feel like I have left sorting this house too late for her. She just doesn't care or know, being in that much pain can't be right. I am going to have to get up early tomorrow to finish off the room and hoover. and do more washing.
I think I am ok, just tired and bit disappointed.
Can I just say I am watching Jack Reacher - the TV series and the bloke playing Reacher is just ridiculously sexy. Like off the chart sexy. Unfreaking believable.

Oh why is everything so hard and uncomfortable *blows massive raspberry*Sadly, yes. I think we have the idea that it's all supposed to be like sitcoms and there's one set of Your People who all get along forever... well, maybe that happened more before people moved around much or could connect via the net, but I'm not sure it ever really worked as advertised, just people were stuck with each other.I have given up on a few people over the last five years or so, and the good news is that I haven't regretted any of them. Either they're still around and I could get in touch if I wanted, but I stopped making the effort because it was never reciprocated, or they've gone off in a huff and guess what, similarly I just don't feel any need to chase them. It frees up so much energy for other things and new friends.Hope you also get to resolve your situation peacefully.Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
