“DCBL were previously instructed on the above matter by the client, Auto Security Ltd, in debt recovery action regarding an unpaid Parking Charge Notice (PCN). The case was closed in DCBL’s office on 13 th July 2021. DCBL are no longer instructed to collect the outstanding balance.”
Does this mean they are no longer chasing or has the case now been moved to DCB Legal ?2 -
hullensien said:I have now had a reply to my SAR submitted to DCBL
In the SAR I specifically asked how they got my current address as I had moved since PCN was issued and DVLA had already confirmed no further request for info was made. The initial Notice of Debt recovery was sent to two different addresses 3 days apart.
DCBL stated that my previous address was provided by “data controller Auto Sec” and that my current address was supplied by “address located following a trace via a third-party tracing company”
I have replied asking for the name of the third party tracing company - have I the right to this info

ODD .... as they say "they are not longer instructed" one must assume that they mean their group being DCB LTD and DCB LEGAL are no longer involved.
DCBL may have exhausted their procedure and passed on to DCB Legal as it was them who issued the “Letter of Claim” so in effect DCBL are “ no longer Instructed” but DCB Legal are

@Castle
Hi Castle - you probably know a lot more than me about this
Firstly I got a response from DCBL with regard to para (g) article 15 - they have advised my details were obtained from Experian. Co-incidentally I went to update my mobile phone and I got refused credit by Experian - my credit rating is 989/1000 so that’s not the problem. Do you think DCBL have screwed my credit rating up and if so is there any re-course?
Secondly DCBL haven’t supplied ANY details between Autosec and themselves regarding myself - should they have done this?
I’ve already complained they should not have requested my address without debt being proven
thanks1 -
1-Ask Experian for a copy of your credit report AND at the same time; also include a SAR.
2-DCBL should have included a copy of their original instructions from Autosec.
3-(Did they, (DCBL), provide a copy of the computer notes on your "account" with them?)2 -

You need to get this sorted quickly with Experian. Have you looked at your credit file.and is there anythng from DCBL ?
