Ryanair Short Changed

BE WARNED! I have just returned from Spain on Ryanair and was short changed by the cabin staff. The price of a coffee in the magazine is 2euros 95 cents and they were charging all passengers 3euros. Not a bad profit on 250 drinks per flight. When I challenged them they gave me the correct change. Other passengers were also overcharged on drinks and were also refunded. CHECK THE PRICES AND YOUR CHANGE! Also they have a habit of having no change at the start of their trolley sales and and returning later with the change. If you pay in one currency they will try to give you change in another currency. They know that you have no way of calculating the exchange rate. I would imagine that this is nothing to do with Ryanair but is being carried out by dishonest cabin staff.

I noticed that when Ryanair have special offers we're charged in pounds but Europe usually pay the same number of Euros, same goes for checking in baggage, It's only worth booking singles if the fares are high and you don't get charged loads for the conversion from euros to pounds. remember you'll pay two admin fees too.0

First, if you were on a 737 the most that would have been on board would be about 150 pax. So I recon that they probably sell only about 60 drinks on a short flight. So you were over charged by about 3p. total overcharge for the whole flight would be £1.80. I hardly think it's a conspiracy on behalf of the cabin crew to cheat you.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Lol wow 3p!Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0

Have to agree with stoneman, even at 250 drinks (OP estimate) it is till only £7.50 to be shared between all cabin crew.0

What am I supposed to say Glenn?
I was on Easyjet the other day and they warn you before they start that the smallest EUR coin they can handle is a 50 cent piece.
I rarely buy anything on Ryanair but if I do I pay in Sterling.
Tell you what though, Easyjet cabin crew are a cut above Ryanair any day of the week. Nice smart uniforms (staff designed 'em themselves, they did, according to the inflight mag , nuffink to do with Easyjet )
Much more legroom in the right hand overwing exit seats on the 737-700 than on the 737-800 too
PS stoneman, 149 on Easyjet max, but could have been 189 on Ryanair !0 -

look down the side of the seat, you could have made a nice little profitThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. yes spot on magic1, its very easy for those who dont travel often with ryanair to mock you post and claim its not a conspiracy to cheat you
i can assure those doubters that the buisness of not having change happens so often its untrue, infact early morning flights are the worst because the staff expect you to fall alseep and forget about the 20p or 50p they promised to return, it happens with easyjet as well, accepting payment in 2 currencies is also a favourite, " have you got a 20 cent coin for 10p then"
i encountered another new scam on my last flight when the girl tried to get me to accept a kit kat insted of change, i didnt want the choccy , she looked a little miffed at my defiance so we settled the transaction with me parting with a 20 cent coin for 10p, the bloke next to me took a galaxy bar instead of change, although a few seconds later when serving the opposite row the clear plastic cup came out and had plenty of change in the bottom
it goes on all the time, a perk for the staff and most travellers accept the cabin crew not having change , listen out for the tannoy messages pre warning you of having no change
i try to have the £2.10 for a coffee, cos i know they will !!!!!! around with change or promise to return, i dont mind its all part of the ryanair experience and with easyjet too
a conspiracy, damn right it is0 -
