This doesn't seem to be the fault of eon next. They are just billing you for the readings you have given.
This seems to be either:
1. A meter misread
2. Something in your house using a lot of electricity in the last month (e.g. faulty applicance, old appliance, hot tube, air conditioner)
3. A faulty meter (though very very low on the list and much less likely than the other two)0 -
I know but I just don’t understand it I have nothing new nothing broken and my son moved out end of March so it’s just me0

What do you have ? Electric heating - storage rads/panels/underfloor - electric shower - old fridge/freezer having to work very hard - etc. Do you usually heat your water by gas but are using the immersion heater ?Tracytrace said:I know but I just don’t understand it I have nothing new nothing broken and my son moved out end of March so it’s just meNever pay on an estimated bill. No underfloor no storage heaters no bath only shower which is not used every day immersion not on hot water heats up twice a day for literally only 30-40 mins0

are you taking daily readings at the moment to see if the meter is still incrementing that much?
Look at everything that is plugged into sockets around the house
Recheck your immersion heater switch is off. (even if you think its off)
As robin9 has asked do you have any electric or panel heaters? Is your fridge/freezer really old?
You need to do a thorough investigation to see what is on in your house, as something is using your energy!!1 -
Is your meter one of old ones where the dials go in different directions ? or a speedometer type ? or a modern digital one ?
Read it again please.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Without a photo of the meter, there's not much we can do... 0 -

So in 2 hours it’s gone from 44081 to 44082??? Is this ok? But how it used 1233 kWh in just under 8 weeks is beyond me0
