It sounds to me as though the PPC might be in for a bit of trouble, OP appears to know his/her onions.
I think you underestimate the amount of advice on this board, it really does get easier once the PPC stops with all the threats and bluster and shows their hand

Autosec obtain keeper details via TNC collections - or at least they did in mine!

It does make you wonder how a third party can legally obtain DVLA details without written landowner’s authority, especially when their client has no such authority in the first place...

    again from the DVLA website

"They must provide evidence which shows they are acting on behalf of the land owner"

The BPA therefore rightly state in the CoP "you must have the written authorisation of the landowner"

Was the discontinuance done in a timely fashion, or was it done within an unreasonably short time before the hearing date, such as week or less?

If it was unreasonable, you should be asking the court for your costs.

Brilliant news, well done on all your hard work.
Great help for us future cases.  Thanks.
  • That's two he's run away from now. It's a shame we've not had chance to rip him to shreds in court. Congratulations @holderness.
  • Well done - it gives me hope, spent the last couple of evenings getting my case together it’s been moved to hull County court on his request - I think the court hearing set in Liverpool was just extra pressure on me to think of the journey and time costs and give him his £300. Which I don’t intend doing as it’s not reasonable. Still this win creates hope.
well done - it’s a shame we cannot prosecute him for the hassle of his scam
