A charity bag has stained my cushion floor pink!

Which chazzer? Name them as I would not want my new tiles to be stained by the same.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
Does anyone have any thoughts on lighter fluid? I just found an old container of it and wondered if it's worth a try or if I'm likely to get into floor melting territory? Thanks0

Be very very careful as blundering about with all sorts of things could end up with the stain permanently fixed onto the floor covering.Markp1984 said:Does anyone have any thoughts on lighter fluid? Thanks, I'm proceeding with caution using each product.greyteam1959 said:

What I've decided to do is try something alcohol based tomorrow, see if it does anything. I think the reality is that it's permanent anyway, just trying to fade it so it's not the neon pink blob on the floor that the eye is instantly drawn to.0 -
as a crafter I am often covered in ink and alcohol based hand sanitiser removes a lot of things1

That gives me some hope! I'll let you all know how todays effort goes. Thanks.Tescodealqueen said:as a crafter I am often covered in ink and alcohol based hand sanitiser removes a lot of things1 -
No success with alcohol based hand gel/lighter fluid. I've had another hour scrubbing at it with the nail polish remover, an exciting mix of odours later and it's faded a tiny bit more. Lots of hard work and it barely makes an impact. I'll try hair spray tomorrow, though I feel it's very unlikely to do anything.
I would describe my progress tackling the bag as.. A mixed bag. It's certainly not the hideous neon pink I put in the first photo, but I'm now positive it's not going anywhere fast and there's no fix.
It shows up in person much more than camera, so I've put my cleaning utensils around it on the floor in the photo. If it is to be solved then I think it'll be by maybe covering it up with a (rather large?) door mat, or some other method of covering it up, like a decal if such a thing exists.
I really just want to say thanks for all the help, although the problem isn't fixed it's certainly better thanks to the replies I've had here, and the support much appreciated as I suffer severe anxiety and feeling like I'm not alone in the battle has helped keep me calmer.
One other point which I'm putting to hopefully give a little help back to the community ;looking across the net, I found other people, across the world, who'd put various charity bags, or plastic shopping bags down on a variety of surfaces, tiles, vinyl, wooden tables, kitchen counters, and ended up with a logo transferred, usually through a combination of sun/heat and a bit of humidity or liquid, so if you're reading this and are the person that leaves their supermarket plastic bag or charity bag against your radiator, on top of the fridge, against your pvc or on the windowsill etc then please learn from this-it's so much easier to prevent it than cure it!

I am not an expert in this, but I am told (by Mrs R) that not all nail polish removers are the same.
Having had a stain on our oak table caused by the underside of fruit box, the DD1 nail polish remover made it lighter but the Mrs R industrial strength one got it out completely, so may be a case of a stronger acetone mix will help? The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…

I hadn't thought about this, but that makes sense. Might give it a try thanks! Undoubtedly everyone I know will see me checking out the nail polish section😅Raggie said:I am not an expert in this, but I am told (by Mrs R) that not all nail polish removers are the same.

I recommend Boots Extra Strength (3 stars on bottle) .. i say recommend use at own risk, but it did save us having to have the table stripped and re-polished.. so .. fingers crossed.Markp1984 said:
