    And those of us who could afford the pick of almost any but still find them vain, showy and a bit naff? It's not always envy you know... :smile:

    Each to their own.  I quite like a short reg on my cars.  I certainly dont faff with the 'dots' or spacing to make names or words though.

    If someone finds that vain or showy, thats their problem, not mine :)

    Isn't spending reasonably substantial amounts of money on purely cosmetic, utterly non-functional trivial details pretty much the dictionary definition of vain?

    There's still a slab of highly visible perspex each end of the car. The only difference is the characters printed on it.
