I flew from Beirut to London on a  Britannia.  There were ony 12 passengers and a lot of smoked salmon.

Did you send your Gentleman's gentleman out on the wing to smoke the salmon on the engine exhausts?

Well now, here's a thing. Appeal sent to VCS. Reply received from Excel.

That's going in the ICO complaint as well.

Follow up email sent to my relative's MP with information about the above, the Jopson "stopping is not parking" case, that IPC and IAS are not independent and the latter only allowed 4% of appeals, the car was stopped outside the VCS contracted area, (and that we have the proof), the car was not stopped in a no-stopping zone, no signs at all stating no-stopping or mention of a £100 charge for stopping, (we have the proof), breach of IPC CoP and PoFA 2012, DVLA releasing data for a non-parking case without checking, etcetera.

Let's see if she is going to get my relative's vote at any forthcoming election.

What is the matter with these people ?

VCS is a different entity from EXCEL ?

It's like sending a SAR to Ryanair and gettung a reply from Easyjet

Although with Easyjet and Ryanair there is some genuine competition.
if you are talking about parking companies from the same stable its all part of the same cosy club

Unfortunately in this case @Castle is absolutely correct. VCS (Vehicle Control Services Limited) is 100% owned by Excel Parking Services Limited - in turn owned 100% by Simon R Renshaw-Smith - along with his other collection of companies (APNR International included)

    EXCEL Company number 02878122
    VCS
    Company number 02498820

It may well be a cosy club ......  in law they are a million miles apart

The Parking Prankster has written on his blog about this. It has something to do with the fact that originally Excel was with the BPA.  Popla  were allowing more appeals. VCS were with the IPC and allowing fewer appeals.

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2014/12/excel-parking-services-ltd-try-one-two.html

They are separate entities and the defining case is the Salomon case.

    @beamerguy

There's loads of companies that have subsidiary companies.

VCS was set up in 1990 and Excel in 1993 both by Renshaw-Smith and at that time he owned them both.

On 05/04/1998 (last day of the tax year) he sold the shares to Excel - probably not for a lot of money at that time and because it was the last day of the tax year, odds are it was a tax move of some sort.

But there is no doubt, Excel owns 100% of VCS.
