When I learned that my adopted first cousin once removed would be visiting Bristol Airport to collect his stepson, I warned him, "Do not stop under any circumstances anywhere other than inside a car park otherwise you will get a ticket."
He ignored my advice and now has received a love letter from VCS for a non-parking stopping event. I have severely bent his ear for ignoring my advice.
He has learning difficulties so I am acting on his behalf.
So far I have sent complaint emails to the airport, his MP, and the landowner at their offices in London UK and Ontario Canada.
His car stopped on the access road to the Drop-off/Pick-up car park that is outside the area VCS are contracted to monitor according to the Service Agreement (Parking Enforcement) previously provided by a poster on here who won his court case. I have pointed this out in my complaints as well as mentioning the court case VCS dropped for an identical event, and the PCN they were instructed to cancel because they issued a PCN to a motorist who had stopped at a stop sign.
I still have complaints to make to the DVLA, DVLA Kadoe Team, and ICO, and the IPC because the PPC harvested my relative's information without due cause. I believe the IPC have employed a company called Porcine Aviation ready to help me.
Watch this space.

Good on you @Fruitcake.Extortionate £100 ‘parking’ charges for stopping (which when temporary, isn’t parking) is something we all need to protest about in comments to the final MHCLG consultation. For some reason, the most aggressive and predatory ex-clamper firms have so far been provisionally handed the right to charge double the lower parking level as if things like 2 minute stops to get your bearings or look for a sign is as serious as parking in a disabled bay without reasonable cause for an entire day. Can’t be right. And if enforcement is taking place outside of the authorised roadways then the DVLA must take your complaint seriously.I have avoided doing airport runs these past few years because it’s stressful to know where to go and whether you are being covertly filmed. It is a fraught experience and it shouldn’t be.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good for you Fruitcake ..... the moral being .... "Don't mess with my familiy"6

We are in full support fruitcake !!
Excel messed with my family on more than one occasion , they lost , they have failed ever since and they have been losing money ever since due to my research and acquired knowledge in the last 8 years !!
They most definitely are not on my Xmas card list !! Ergo neither is VCS either !!8 -
I'm just waiting for DPD to wade in with some sage advice! 😄Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.6

So, @Fruitcake is Ambassador Kosh now?
(Anyone who watched Babylon 5 will get that reference immediately.)3 -
Well Fruitcake you have helped plenty of posters (including myself) to fight and win their cases against Excel and VCS. If JB is reading your thread then if he has any sense he will cancel the ticket immediately.

I have just knocked up a set of visual aids to include in my next trio of complaints. This takes the reader through a series of images from the PCN photo via GSV images and maps, to the Service Agreement map to show unequivocal proof that the car was stopped outside the area VCS are contracted to operate.
The GSV camera car took a photo from exactly the same spot as the VCS camera car, so there can be no argument that they are the same place.
I shall probably visit the site in the near future because the service agreement shows there are no signs in the access road prohibiting stopping. There are no signs showing on GSV, but the images were taken before VCS infested the site, so I need contemporary images to show it is still the case.I married my cousin. I doubt it would do any good as the keeper lives outside my MP's constituency.
It's one of the occasions where I think it is a shame that my relative's MP is not Rees-Mogg.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks4
