Didn't go in the end.  DH was in a bit of a mood when he got in but then again so was I because he hadn't let me know he was doing 18 holes and not 9.  He also had a coffee before, mid round and afterwards as well so ended up not getting home until gone 3 o'clock.  I would have loved to have gone but it wasn't to be.  Never mind - hopefully there will be another opportunity although my DSis is moving to Scotland early next year - she's sold her house but waiting to find out when she'll be exchanging.  She's hoping to move around 20th or thereabouts.

    Well done on resisting Maman

I agree roast is a good bet, but they wouldn't think of SW, my BIL does all the cooking, washing , cleaning etc as sis works and he doesn't although he does a lot of volunteering with her at weekends as they deliver meals on wheels

We might have a sandwich later i have some soft pittas

That's a shame @joedenise but put it on your list for a future visit. It's a super Art Deco building from what I've heard.

We've fallen into the good system here. DH does breakfast (from a list of SW friendly options that I gave him) and I do dinner. We do our own thing for lunch. Might seem odd to some people but it works for us. We were only discussing today how we've managed through the various lockdowns despite being together a lot more than usual. 🥰

Glasgow.  Her DD already lives there.  She hasn't bought anything yet but has arranged to rent her DD's friend's flat until she finds something.

    Hiya all
Just caught up. Hope you all had a good Christmas.
I was naughty over Christmas but then I got Norovirus.! That sort of limited the damage. I’m just out of the infection period now- clear for 48 hours thank goodness. I felt rough as anything for 24 hours but it did off as soon as it arrived thankfully. I’m feeling a lot better now.
Thanks to that I’ve only put a pound on 😂I didn’t weigh today as I was trying to stay out of other people’s way due to not being 48 hours but an avalanche of sales purchases arrived on my doorstep which cheered me up considerably!

I bought: A Juicy Couture tracksuit from JD (it’s allegedly a size 20 but it’s a small 20, I think it’s closer to an 18- that wasn’t in the sale though) 3 Lipsy dresses from Next; a top and leggings from Yours, and 2 t-shirts from River Island.

    Verdict- surprised and thrilled.
The tracksuit fits like a dream. I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted one of those tracksuits. It was expensive (£135) but when I was last small enough to wear one there was no such thing as plus size in them- I think the biggest size was a 12. I did have a pair of joggers from their outlet but they were seconds, considered plus size and I’m told rare- they were a very small 16. There’s absolutely no way I would have fitted in this tracksuit at the size I used to be. I used to have a cupboard full of Juicy Couture substitute Lipsy tracksuits (and I still have a pair of the old style Lipsy bottoms) and they were nowhere near as good quality as this one. I’m absolutely taken with it!

The Lipsy dresses- oh my ❤️There was one I ordered that I absolutely adored- a red oriental print one, that I thought was the least likely to fit as it’s ‘scuba’ type material, but I thought I might well slim into it. How wrong could I be?! It fits absolutely beautifully and is so flattering. It’s gone in my suitcase as I’m going to London with OH for NYE. I’m pairing it with black glitter leggings (I can’t do tights) my red Irregular Choice flats and a black denim jacket. The jacket is unfortunately a 24 and miles too big but looks okay just to cover my arms. I’m absolutely elated to be able to wear a Lipsy dress on NYE. I couldn’t even do that when I was at my slimmest (although I had a beloved Lipsy dress that I wore to an awards night that I reluctantly sold when I put the weight back on) Of the other two, one is a tiny bit snug (blue wrap dress) but is okay with my shapewear vest, and the other one is a gorgeous black glitter one that is also a beautiful fit.

The top and leggings from Yours- size 18 top, it’s enormous! That’s being returned. The leggings are just about okay but I’m keeping them as there’s no way on this earth I’m a size 16 😂
The tops- again I probably could have got away with a size 16- they’re slightly oversized but I like them that way. They’re nice and long as well.
I’ve done pretty well in the sales 😂

Food wise- hmmm. I’m still getting back on my feet and today has been the first day in a few days I’ve eaten properly. I made a lovely speedy spag bol for OH and I for tea- 5% mince, mushrooms, onions, peppers, garlic, and tinned tomatoes. I ate it with half pasta and half salad with loads of gherkins.
Tomorrow is damage limitation before NYE 😂😂
Night all. Sorry for the long post 😂
    lots of love xx

NSVs by the bucketload @MrsRyan! I just love hearing about your successes. I've been 10 years at target and I'm still thrilled with what I can wear so I can empathise completely. 😁
