Morning ladies, I'd love to join you - should maybe say 'again', as I think I posted a few times years ago then life got in the way but I read every day and feel as if I know you all really well!

I'm a long time SW member who had lost two stones with roughly another stone, stone and half to go but since we went back to group I've gained about 8 pounds and nothing I do is shifting it!  I'm trying various combos such as cutting portion sizes, dropping the extra HEXA, not having B choice, reducing or not having syns, not having carbs, drinking loads of water, exercising, you name it I'm trying it.

As a lady of a certain age :smiley:I'm always reading this may affect your weight but my consultant ridicules any suggestion and has in the past pointed to several women in the room in a similar situation who are losing - lucky them!

So today's plan is f/f Greek Yoghurt with strawberries, raspberries and nectarines, chicken salad for lunch (with lots of pickles) and I've yet to decide on dinner, possibly chilli with either rice or baked potato and whatever's left salad wise.

Lovely to be here and hope you all have a lovely day.

Well DH decided to muck me about and is now back to playing golf tomorrow instead of today!  We still went shopping yesterday so I'm still doing some cooking and made use of him being her to peel all the little shallots (the round ones).

I've got coq au vin cooking at the moment and once that's done I'll crack on with a beef stifado.  I bought double the amount of beef I need so half of it will get frozen as is to use at a later date.  Will probably just make a normal beef stew with that at sometime.

The SW sweet and sour was OK but definitely not as nice as my usual one.  Really must find my usual recipe which I'm fairly sure is in the Motorhome.  I then photocopy it and have a copy in my recipe file as well as out in the MH.  I like to keep it out there as it's a simple meal to cook when we're away.

I weighed myself this morning and it's looking like I've shifted the weight I've put on over the last couple of weeks and I'm back in target - just hope the scales at group tomorrow say the same!

    Today's plan:

    B - kedgeree - P; S; F
    L - Welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; F
    D - Fakeaway KFC, corn on the cob, beans, chips, coleslaw - P; S; F; 1

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LTL mayo 1

Another low syn day so definitely pulling the bad start back!

Meant to ask has anyone else had the message on the website to register their card and enter PIN so as not to lose access to the website.  It also says as a target member I need to weigh in at least once every 8 weeks.  Really don't understand why I'm getting this message as it's only 4 or 5 weeks since I went to WI.  I've emailed them to ask but just had an auto response saying they are getting lots of emails at the moment and will respond as soon as possible.  I wonder if that's because lots of people have got the same problem!

Well done for shifting those stubborn pounds and getting back into target JD 👏👏
Breakfast - egg and heb toast - 1 syn for LF spread.
I'm going to physio at 1 pm so we might walk into town but it’s weather dependent…..so the rest of the meals will depend on what we decide to do…..
choice if we go out - probably steak, jacket and salad
if we stay in - salad with cold meat. Lamb chops, tomato, garlic mushrooms and actifry chips
    January spends - £587.58

Welcome Jellybean.  bubbs is in the same boat as you at the moment and struggling to lose and has been trying so many different things.  Good luck with losing the weight you want to.

Just back from the local Minor Injury Unit as DH sliced the top of his finger off when slicing onions for me!  It's the first time I've driven since I hurt my shoulder and would you believe the most painful thing was closing the door, LOL!  He hasn't done any serious damage fortunately but wanted to get it checked out because it didn't want to stop bleeding.  Finally stopped whilst driving to the hospital.  The nurse just told him not to do any more chopping today!!!

Have had a response from SW to my email and it says the reminder comes up after 4 weeks to prompt you to go to group and there is a SKIP button but I've never noticed it.  Will have to have a look when I go back on - I don't actually go on there very often except when I'm looking at recipes.  I have the planner set up on my laptop as a shortcut and just use that most of the time.

The coq au vin had just finished cooking when had to take DH so now I'm just starting the stifado.  Got the onions and garlic softening at the moment which will take a while.  Would like to get the cooking on the hob part done before we have lunch and then it can go in the oven for a couple of hours to finish cooking.

milann lamb chops sounds lovely.  Not had any for quite a while.  Usually have Barnsley chops when we do as they are meatier but as lamb is so expensive it's not something we have very often.

Good to see you posting @Jellybaby. You'll get huge sympathy on here from @bubbs especially as she's finding it really hard to shift anything at the moment. Your menu looks absolutely fine to me. Just keep plodding. 😊

Which burger was that @klew? I thought you were having ham and chips? 🤔 I used to enjoy BGTY burgers from Sainsbury's but they discontinued them and the replacements weren't very good.

I had that message last month too @joedenise. I didn't see a skip button either but will look out for it next time. You did well to get such a speedy reply from SW though. I asked my consultant about it and she said that it's because SW like you to go to group once a month even though it says 8 weeks on the website! I suppose it's a reminder and you could do a lot of damage in 2 months but I found it irritating! Good luck for WI tomorrow. 😊

Does that mean your DH can't play golf if he's got a sore finger? I know that shallots look really professional in a dish but I only use them for people coming to dinner! 🤣 Generally I just cut an onion into wedges.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA1, strawberries (S)
    L- veggie omelette with part HEA2 cheese (P, S), beetroot (S), ham (P)
D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- 0

Yes I was surprised to get a response so quickly.  I had asked my consultant about it and she just said it was probably a glitch which was why I emailed them.  I think consultant is probably right about them wanting you to go once a month but if that's the case why don't they just say that? I find it really irritating too.  Have had a look for the SKIP button but I can't see it either.  Will see if the message disappears when I input my weight tomorrow.

I like to see the whole onions when I'm eating coq au vin or stifado which is why I buy the shallots.  DH is usually really got with chopping; think he was probably getting fed up with the amount of chopping he was doing and was trying to speed up as if he's a chef🤣.  I'd of just cut up normal onions if I hadn't seen the shallots when I was shopping.  I asked DH if he thought he'd be able to play tomorrow and he just said I won't know until I try!  Well if he decides it's too painful he'll just have to wait for me to finish at group and go back to collect him as I'm going to have to take him to the course, drive back home, go to group, back home and then wait for him to call to collect him!  Not going to get much done tomorrow as it'll feel a bit like the okey cokey - in, out, in out 🤣🤣🤣.
