I didn't realise I haven't been on here for a while, but to be honest I haven't really been doing an awful lot.
I was right the postage did cost more than the price of the card!
On Wednesday my new driving licence came, I certainly wasn't expecting it so quick!!!!
I also phoned my internet supplier and got a couple of unused packages taken off, so the monthly amount is £20 less!!!! But when the contract is nearer finishing I will be phoning around for a cheaper deal!!
I also realised that I have dds dog (not the pup) next week for a few days as well as 'not my cat' that will be interesting!!!!! - not!!!!! I already have the cat here.
Thursday I went to the local hospital for an x-ray and was in and out in under 30 minutes!!! Well done nhs
Friday I kept thinking it was Saturday, made sushi for lunch and in the afternoon went to see the friend who gave me the iPad, which is now in the computer repair shop and that's it really.
Today has been an allotment day. I watered the tunnel and cut the triffids back so all looks tidy in there. I picked kale, courgettes, black currants, raspberries, black berries, peas, beetroot and cucumbers!!! I had to give some courgettes to neighbours as I had so many! The fruit will probably be made into jam at a later date, as I have frozen them and the veggies will all be eaten in the next few days. The beans are nearly ready as well !!!!
So no money has been spent on food or fuel this week so far but I do have eldest dgd staying with me for a few days next week and she has hollow legs. We will sit down and decide on dinners and then go shopping, a lasagne has already been requested which I will help her make, I'm guessing a pizza will be one of them to.
And on that note I will finish.

Your allotment sounds very productive, @nannygladys. We don't have an allotment, but we have quite a long narrow garden, the top third of which we use for growing food. Our courgettes had a week off to the recover from the heatwave, but are now back in production. Everything else is doing well - 15 cucumbers so far & lots of aubergines.

I've been mia the last few days as I've been busy looking after the cat, dog and dgd. I'd forgotten how much work and juggling it used to be🙂 dgd and dog should be going home later today and the cat stays here most days so there's no difference there, but as cat is staying here at the moment I only let the dog in the back of the house and the cat gets the hall and upstairs!!!! It seems to be working and the cat has been sleeping with dgd, and the dog in the kitchen.
The money saving seems to have gone out of the window dgd is a growing teenager and although doesn't eat for England I'm trying/ buying different foods, we have been out a few places and had a few of treats - none of which I regret, so come tomorrow I'm back on the straight and narrow. (You have to make a few happy memories 🙂)
I am now in possession of a fully functioning I-pad, it was ready on Monday but I was out so couldn't pick it up, on Tuesday I was grandma sitting in another town so it was Wednesday!! Rather than do something wrong, I asked dgd to set it up for me and she also installed all the apps etc I wanted so what am I on at the moment? My phone!!!!!
Budget wise I haven't overspent but not saving as the money has been spent elsewhere but that's ok as I'm still in the black with everything, but I will be extra vigilant with my next payment. I have started a weight loss program via the doctor, so I'm not paying any subscription, (SW) but buying more fruit, veggies and 'healthy' stuff which I must say I'm enjoying!
So that's me up to date, hope to get back to more regular postings.

If you have the SW books @nannygladys you could carry on following it without paying out to go to group and also get weighed at the Drs for free! Win win situation. You could come over to the SW thread of here for extra support. Link to thread if you're interested:

joedenise - the NHS are paying for SW on-line for me, it's scheme for people with a BMI of over 30 (I think) and when have high blood pressure, but the drs has to be registered with the scheme, and ours wasn't originally but is now so I was offered a place, it's for 12 weeks so I'm hoping I'll be well into the sw way when the 12weeks come to an end. I've completed my first week and lost 2 1/2 lbs but when I weighed I'd only completed a few days, so when I weigh next week I'm hoping for the same or a bit more!!

I'll have to post on here how much extra if any it's costing me on food, although hopefully I will get enough main veggies from the allotment, fruit I'll have to buy but I will still be using the community pantry and hub to help out when possible.
Yesterday I noticed that my electric was about £1 more than normal, dgd cooked tea but that was gas so it must have been the electric shower, I'm more or less in and out as quick as, but I couldn't have expected dgd to do the same and there may have been chargers on, but I think it was mainly the shower.
Anyway that's it really, I will update my signature as there has been a little extra food spending, I have a notebook that I write it in straight away, so it will be correct.

@nannygladys - you'd still be welcome on the the SW thread on here even though you're doing it ia NHS. It's just extra support between weigh ins for anyone who is following SW whether they are attending group, doing it online or just going it alone.
That's a great loss for only a few days. Good luck for the coming week! Just don't expect to get those sort of losses every week it generally slows down after the first few weeks.

joedenise - I didn't do very well over the weekend or Monday, I don't know what comes over me sometimes. I really wanted something sweet and kept putting it off but after a while I ate all my sw treats, well I still managed a 1 1/2 lbs loss and I'm back in the right frame of mind again, thank goodness!
