Visited the allotment today and the police were there, apparently we had a couple of fires Monday night. Someone set fire to my next door but one neighbour's shed, well it was more than a shed and he built it himself, he's only been on the site about 2 years and it was a combined glass house, shed and sitting place so quite large and wouldn't have looked odd in your back garden, and then opposite to him, one of the old timers had half of his shed torched as well! There are some scrum bags about!!! Anyway the police had bought us down some free compost that had come from a raid on a cannabis factory that was going to be disposed of, it was all still in sealed sacks and if it's used for that then I expect my produce to be super good
he,he.
Planted the last of the broccoli and I just have some winter cabbage to go in once I have dug the bed over and made another net cover frame for it. So I came away with some broad beans, broccoli, raspberries and courgettes. The broad beans have been frozen for youngest dd, she's the only one who likes them, the raspberries will be made into jam and the green stuff will be eaten by me! Hopefully eldest dd will have the next harvest and I can drop that by hers on my way home from there.
It's been lovely and sunny today and I enjoyed my cup of fresh tea and a sit down whilst there, before I came home through the rush hour, well quick hour around here
So no money spend and produce from the allotment and the sun shining It doesn't get better than that for me at the moment!

I have pup for a couple of days so will be enjoying that, out for walks and some company, but I won't be going to the allotment unless I leave him in as last time my beetroot was flattened, mind you it's fine now!
No money spent and I only walked to the drs to pick my prescription up (that's where the chemist is) it was lovely, sunny and warm and I walked on the field pathway so plenty of birds etc making noises, very peaceful just what I needed
Thinking I will wash the front room curtains tomorrow (well one of them) as its supposed to be sunny. I'm gradually going through the house washing curtains and these are the last pair but as they are so big I have to make sure it's going to be a very warm day to dry them - I may (well the washer!) Only launder one of them. I always wash them on a low heat but I think they should be dry cleaned by rights but they haven't really shrunk in all the years I've been washing them
That's about it, hope everyone has a good weekend a bit of warm weather always helps put me in a better mood.

Taken pup a walk this morning in a local wooded area which was ideal as we were in the shade, it was really hot when we came out so just sitting out in the shade with pup asleep on the cool slabs.
I've run out of bread, down to the last carton of milk and could really eat a bit of chocolate so may be tempted later on

Well I did do a bit of shopping at tosco and yes indeed WinterWarrior it did include some chocolate, biscuits and ice cream!!!
I haven't been in a sm for a couple of weeks and was surprised at the lines that had in, in tosco there were very few of their budget lines in the dried food dept ie biscuits, crisps etc but there was plenty in the veggie section. Anyway got what was needed and desired so a happy bunny was I, especially with the chocolate bar that didn't touch the sides and disappeared a little too quickly
Did some watering yesterday at the plot and its all growing OK, I collected some green stuff for dinners and a bit of fruit for jam making and that was it. It was just too hot, I'd walked pup early in the morning so left him in the cool of the house whilst I was there.
Today I've just been titivating around and throwing the balls for the dog, who at the moment is asleep on his back under the tableI feel as if I could just join him in a snooze but I still have a few bits to do so that will have to wait!!
Oh £31.56 spent in the sm, will add that to signature in a bit.

Today has been grandma sitting day and this week dgd came with me. The roads seemed empty this morning and we got there so early, even before dd had left to take small dgd to school and we managed a quick drink as well - coffee of course!!
Took dgs off in his pushchair for walk and it was spit spotting with rain drops but not really raining but at least it was cooler and refreshing. Went via mcds's on way back tonight intending to get a tiramisu mcflurry but they were unavailable, sold out I expect so nothing spent there!! I will try again though in a few days time as I rather fancy oneI know, but I do enjoy a mcd' s every few months, wouldn't want anymore than that though, I usually take the smallest dgds as a treat every so often and they love it as they eat home cooked food all the time - naughty Nanny!!!!
Seems very quiet here now pup has gone back, love that doggie!
Not much else going on at the moment, I have a list of 'frogs' to tackle but there not major things, just need doing in the next few weeks so will have to get my act together and get them out of the way. And that's about it really, so all quiet in my house at present which is a good thing

I decided to visit the hub this morning and came back with just a few bits for me and some for eldest dd, but there wasn't an awful lot there so made sure there was lots left for others. I really wanted an ordinary loaf but they didn't have any, only the posh stuff, sour dough (not that fond of it) crusty cobs which I had one of and a loaf with olives in which I also had and is delicious!!! Both were sliced and frozen as I just have a couple of slices a day. There were plenty of others and crusty rolls but I didn't need them. There wasn't as much veg as normal either (I didn't need any as I'm eating off the lottie), but I asked if this was normal now and they're not getting so many donations any more, which is a shame for the people who depend on it but I suppose it's good for the sm's if they are only ordering what they need! Anyway, they have opened a community pantry there but it's open on the day I'm not at home (Tuesday) but as they know me there they said they would open it up for me if I need it, how nice is that
in fact I was shown around whilst I was there!!
Went to the lottie later this afternoon to water the poly and some of the beds as well. It was so peaceful down there and I had a little sit down in the shade and just enjoyed it. I came back with the inevitable courgette, a few raspberries, some more broad beans and a couple of stalks of chard and a few florettes of broccoli to have with tonight's tea. I only pick enough for a meal unless I'm picking for dds.
So that's it for tonight, not much happening here, just waddling along

I haven't really been doing an awful lot since I posted last.
On Thursday eldest dgd and I went up to the city and I bought five basic t-shirts from primani and spent less than £15, so very happy and I will look and feel half decent in the right size t-shirts nowI also managed to have a tiramasu Mcfluff whilst up there and enjoyed that and the air con in there!! So not much spent.
On Friday had an indoor day catching up some with sorting out, cooking and baking and some book work frogs! Anyway catching up with a few bits so happy about that.
Yesterday I went to the lottie, gave it a good water, found some cabbage white caterpillars on my baby broccoli that I planted out the other day, as they are all under nets the eggs must have been laid on them at home, anyway cleared them off and will have another look when I'm down there tomorrow. On the way home I called in to see an old friend, I haven't seen him since before cv as he really upset me but I thought I'd make an effort as he's in his 80's (I have phoned to see if he's OK!) Anyway he has had a new computer, all singing all dancing so he gave me an iPad he has no use for!!!!!! But me being me has b*ggered it up trying to set it up and it won't let me into it!!!! Not sure what to do, it looks as if I have set up a passcode but as I was trying to set up fingerprint recognition I haven't any idea what the passcode is!!! So that's it until I can figure out what to do or take it in somewhere and I haven't the money for that at the moment - something else to save forand I was really looking forwards to using it - ah well what I haven't used I can't miss.
So today, not much going on. I seem to be doing a lot better on the money front and haven't borrowed any money from my pots. I've been eating from the freezer but it doesn't seem to be going down any and it really helps to have fresh veg from the lottie. Oh I went to Wilkos whilst up in the city as they have a garden sale on at the moment and bought nearly all my seeds for next year, the only one I couldn't get was aubergines, so that has saved me loads as they were all half price and then when I got home I spent over an hour seed sorting!!! But it's all tidy and in order in my seed box now
So that's it for a bit, I'd better get my act together and get started on something, keep cool and well everyone.

You don't need to pay anyone to fix the ipad NannyG. Take your query to the tech board but if one of your daughters has a pc at home (maybe your grandaughter has a laptop?) then this is the answer linky
P.S maybe get your grandaughter to help you to set it up? I thought that I had my iphone figured out but when I see how my 17 year old has his set up I realised that I really didn't. You can also set it up to use as a kindle which I like as it's a handy size for reading in bed (still like real books the best though).4
