The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Cherryfudge - we don't have a Dobbies around here, but it's a localish one that do a similar scheme.

I actually went and did some shopping today and spent more than I thought, that'll teach me to not add it up as I go along. So it was really low and I was actually pleased with how much it was but I've spent all my months allowance 🙁 well over by a small amount anyway, so I've failed, but I will continue on the very low spend month and see how much I spend in total. It mainly went on fruit and veggies, and although I could have bought cheaper options I'd rather enjoy my food than just tolerate it! I think if I really needed to I could do it but in all honesty I don't have to at this point in time. I hope that makes sense.
It's certainly getting colder today and it's stopped raining at last - yay!! Eldest dgd came shopping with me but only bought her lunch which was fine and we cooked it when we got back in. I went to fat club and lost a couple of pounds and Dgd walked home, she could have caught a bus but she had a couple of hours to spare before her mum came home so took the walking option 🤔 !! That's about it really, I'm just wrapped up in my PJ's and snuggly housecoat with a cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit to eat 😂 not very exciting!!!

I’ve spent the past 4 years learning Spanish on an app on my phone so the majority of my predictive text is in Spanish. Even my phone keyboard is Spanish 🤣🤣
Well done shedding the 2lbs 👏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Sun_Addict - thanks for that, I sometimes forget how much I've lost, it's creeping upto 3 stone now so nearly at my own target, but I may go on for a bit longer I'll have to see how I feel 😏
Spanish!! Wow you clever person, I have trouble with English 😂🤣£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund7 -
Wow time goes by quite quickly these days!!
I'm sticking with the lower spend January, not the £5 a week like I was doing 🙁 If I had to do it I think I could but find it very difficult, it made me realise how lucky I am, in so much it's not a food/heat situation and yes I know I've dropped out of it but fortunately I can make a choice and change my mind, many people can't. I haven't spent any money since and don't intend to spend much more but I will log it down when I do!
I've been down to the allotment for a few hours to see what needs doing, I haven't been down for ages and was pleasantly surprised how it looked. Yes, the poly tunnel needs cleaning out and the rest needs a dig over but although the ground is very wet it doesn't seem that heavy. There's even some kale growing and the rhubarb is growing fine, the fruit bushes and fruit trees are all sprouting new leaves - the cycle carries on as normal!! There are a few bits that need doing, the fence in-between me and my neighbour needs some work but I'm hoping he'll mend it🤣🤣 he's very handy!! And the hedge needs a trim but it's given me my mojo back, I just need to go down a couple of times a week to bring it back up ready for planting.
I've picked my x-stitch up again and my wrist/thumbs are aching but as long as I'm sensible it should be fine. I'm in a good place at the moment and feel ready to face the world, whatever it throws at me so bring on the rest of 2024 I'm ready for you 🥳🥳🥳£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund10 -
