Thank you Cherryfudge. I like your phrase 'I will get better at' , I will adopt that in my thinking, sometimes I will beat myself up if I don't achieve whatever I was hoping to do I need that phrase to encourage myself to do better next time instead of thinking I've failed.£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund6

It's too easy to be all or nothing, isn't it? Keeping chipping away seems to get there eventually.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Cherryfudge - i like the chipping away, I think I bite off more than I can chew quite often, especially when I don't seem to be able to say 'no' . But as my signature says it's going to be a positive 2024 for me and I'm determined to allow myself some time doing exactly what I want to!

What a very good idea, @nannygladys! I'm doing more of what I want, too, and it's quite nice seeing it develop!
I read once that the key to saying 'no' is not to qualify it. 'I'm sorry, I can't help out' is much harder to counter than 'I'm sorry, I'm really busy/tired/overcommitted already', which can be argued against.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I'm going to have a final look through all my budgets, challenges and garden/Lottie growing thoughts tomorrow to set myself right for the rest of the year. And I must lose this final stone of weight as well, I'm giving myself the next few months to kick that in touch?
Anyway I'm off now, happy new year and best wishes to you all, love to everyone, Janex£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund7 -
Happy New Year 🥳 and good luck with all the positive plans for 2024. I need to look through my seeds too as I am sure that some will be too old now. I need to make sure that we grow more of the things that everyone loves and not get distracted by growing some things for the sake of it.3

Happy New Year @nannygladys and good luck with your 2024 intentions.
We have a lot more of best friend's garden semi tamed this year so I'm looking forward to your garden and allotment updates as I'm hoping to do some more growing of things too. I just need to stop him from planting a whole pack of seeds at a time which then results in lots of seedlings all of which he wants to keep and which are repotted and repotted because the ground for them to go in isn't prepared in time.
I have also banned him from planting anything that nobody wants to eat which sounds very similar to your intentions @Moorviews

Moorviews - I'm the same, I see something different to grow and like to have a go, but this year I'm growing what we all like, oh and some cabbage for me🤣🤣
