Account appears to be in order, and as expected.
We'll just wait and see if the smart meter sends it's readings at the end of the month, and when the first new bill is available.
Well, our smart meter didn't send the readings as it previously did, on the 24th of each month. So today I have submitted manual meter readings which will hopefully trigger a bill.
Just now have to wait and see when (and if) the meter springs back into life. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

If you download the BRIGHT app and follow the instructions then Hildebrand - a Registered DCC User - will use its own DCC-approved software (known as an Adaptor) to pull data from your meter. If BRIGHT shows data then your meters are connected to the DCC Network and working as they are designed to work. If there is no data, then you have a network connection issue that your supplier needs to investigate.1 -
Thanks for that info @[Deleted User], but as they (Eon) did say that it might take a while for the meter to be allocated/updated to "Next" then I'll give it a bit longer before taking it further.
Their e-mail said "If you've got a smart meter, it'll carry on sending us readings if it did before, though it might take a month or two to settle down - and your in-home display too - so don't worry if they don't work to begin with."
The IHD has been fine.
I know exactly what my readings/tariff/DD are, so I'm on top of my usage, so won't get any nasty bill surprises...hopefully!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Speaking to bright they can still communicate with meter but it says the year is 3000 and not reporting any readings. 🤣
Maybe i need a powercut0 -
After submitting my manual readings on 1st December, my on-line account now shows a debit (dated 30/11), for Gas only, of £50 (correct), along with a credit of the DD for the 1st. No mention of the Electricity and no bill has been triggered yet.
Will watch and wait! How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0
